  1. This is a great board. Lots of friendly people and great info. I wish I could have you all over for BBQ and beer. If you are ever in the south let me know, first round is on me. Alex
  2. No way, that stuff is great. I use an *** "stick" ( a senko) or a zoom super fluke over the edges texas rigged. The edge that is to the deep end. Just let the bait fall over the edge and twitch it. Forget anything with a treble, you will pull up a bag full of that slop. I have the same problem in my pond, it took a while but I got me a pig or two out of it. Braid also helps, since the bass will come out wrapped in that stuff (2-3lbs of wet sloppy weed alone). Just my .02, I am a rookie myself. Alex
  3. I'll keep it short.... Nov 2, cold front coming in. Thunderstorms and lots of lightning. I hit the lake at 8am and I left at 1pm because I had to pick up the wife at work. I had the raingear on almost the whole time. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g22/sx-al/PeacockBass.jpg Alex
  4. Miami checking in. I grew up here. Started w/ hand lines and my old man. Never looked back since. I don't have a boat. If I'm off work, I'm trying to go fishing. Thats pretty much it.
  5. Hi guys and gals. I'm new to the site after lurking for the longest time. I wanted to thank each and everyone of you guys for being so generous with your tips/techniques. I had never been bass fishing prior to March 06. Since then I have consumed almost every snipit from this site and others, and put some serious time on the lake pounding the bank. I had a nasty skunk following me for a couple of months till I learned me the "pattern". Now I am killing them at an ultra super pressured city pond. Granted the skunk still shows up once in a while, but I've got pics and stories to keep me cool when he does. Again a million thanks to you ALL, I'd mention you all by name but I'd forget somebody. I guess Glenn gets the most though since hes "the man". Alex
