Hey guys, had something happen today I thought I'd tell ya about. I got canceled at work, so I took advantage and went fishing. It was a bad day all around. Winds were harsh out of the E - SE. I only caught two dinks and 2 foot and a halfers. Now the cool part. As I am pounding the bank I see this guy in a uniform and a camera walking up to me. I figure I'm getting pulled over, but no wait. He's asking me about my fishing. It turns out he is a biologist for the FWC. We talked for about 20 mins. Very nice guy and super informative. He was interested in my PB, and told me they have electro fished 9 and 10's from this pond right here. He also wanted to know about my peacocks, since their population supposedly died off sometime after 94-95. Some sort of freeze kill. I gladly volunteered to email him my personal pics for the sake of research (bragging 100% between y'all and me). Very cool feeling to help out my pond directly. Before he left he gave up the ponds secret spots and time of year also. He is going to mail me some maps. I can only imagine, but I hope its a treasure map to a 15lb hawg hole I can get to w/ my car. Better than working, right?

Don't laugh. Ugly stick UL is like 4.5 ft. Penn 430 SSg w/ 20 lb braid. Killer for Bluegills. It has also landed a 4lb bass. Fight took forever, I thought I snaged a log. ;D ;D 'cept logs don't thump back. You can always use a lighter reel. The rod catches fish. later

Got mine today. 3 xps lures, 1 jig, 1 spinner. My kid loves them. I get the monkey off my kids back for only $5. 8-)

I had to learn to wait on topwater hits. That huge splash would always get me. Now I wait to feel the bass. Soft plastics...I go samurai the slightest inkling of a taker.

I ordered them back when the tread pop'ed up. I still havn't got them. I was going to give them to my son on Chrismas. Start his first box. He always wants me to get him a big plastic lure, but for what they are going to be used, I ain't going to buy $$ items. This was perfect for me.
