*Sigh*...Here we go...again...
These guys have given some great advice. I say take it and put it to good use. I know where you're coming from. I'm 30, in the past 4 yrs I've been laid off 3 times and lived in 3 different states. I've gone from being single to being married and gone from renting to owning a nice home with a bit land to enjoy. Don't get me wrong my life isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Crap is still going to happen no matter how smooth life goes. But like Tom said the world isn't over. My philosopy is to not dwell on the past but learn from it and be confident and have a positive attitude towards the future. That's helped me deal with blows tremendously. No matter what we choose to do life will still move on around us. We just have to find ways to keep with it and make our time here good time.

Citica vs. BPS Rick Clunn Reel
Trying to decide on a new baitcaster. I'm not going to spend any more than $120. I'm really liking the Citica but I noticed today the Clunn is on sale at BPS for $70. My question is what do you guys think is the better value. The Clunn is $50 cheaper but the Citica is Shimano. Is there 50 more dollars of value in the Shimano?

Anybody grow a beard for the winter season?
I have a goatee or short beard in the summer and grow it out for the winter. It's nice to have when it's cold out and the wind kicks up.

Quabbin Resevior Walleye
From what I"ve read it did. 11lb. 0oz. That was in 1975. I know there are Lake Trout and Salmon so I would think there's still some Walleye in there. That's a huge body of water to cover though.

family fishing
I don't have kids yet but can't wait to take them fishing when I do. Some of my best memories as a child are of fishing with my family. It's really good wholesome fun for kids and a great way for kids to bond with their parents. There's a good write up in one of the recent mags about always having fishing to go back to after fishing as a kid. I hadn't fished for 15 yrs until this summer. It's been a great summer, my wife and I have had some great times fishing this summer. I might not be writing this right now had my family not taken me fishing as a kid.

Time of year question
As long as the water's not frozen I'll go out. Actually I plan on doing some ice fishing this winter so I take that back. I'll fish anytime. Fish have to eat year round. ;D

New weight guess thread
What the hey. The first one I'll go 3lb 10oz, belly's got a little bulge. Second one is a complete guess and I'll say 4lb 8oz.

Quabbin Resevior Walleye
Any New Englanders out there ever do any fishing for Walleye on the Quabbin? Or any other lakes in Central/Western MA for that matter.

Spinning Technique For A Lefty
I hope I titled this right. I am left handed, cast with my left hand and reel with my right. I was raised on a Zebco spincaster and never taught to use anything else. I can't cast with my right arm for squat. I like using a spinning reel but have a hard time catching the line off the spool with my left hand because of the way it comes off the spool. Anybody else have this problem? Are there any reels to solve this problem?

Newbie Here
Been poking around here off and on for a little while and just registered today. Thought I'd say hey. I'm 30 yrs young have an awesome wife who likes to fish on occasion who I've been with for 4 yrs now. No kids so far just 2 big furry Chocolate Labs, Sadie and Miles. I'm originally from KY and lived in Pittsburgh PA for about 2 yrs. Have been in MA for 2 yrs now and am lovin the outdoors up here. I fished in KY until I was about 15 and just picked it back up again earlier this past summer. I've become obsessed with Bass fishing and was introduced to Walleye fishing on Lake Erie by my wife's grandfather which was a blast. I'm probably about as laid back as it gets. I like to camp, hike, cook, travel, watch baseball, football, eat, drink and be merry. And as you can tell by my username smoke cigars. This looks like a great site with tons of knowledge around. Look forward to talking with everyone!
