I have been thinking about my introduction to a casting reel which took place about 15 years ago .... I am 50 and my waters are all Smallmouth. Today, I spend a lot of time in Maine fishing for Largemouth. Self taught, I practiced flipping, pitching, side cast and back cast. I did try the odd overhead cast put it was difficult and the side and back cast was getting the job done. There is an argument as to why the most difficult "overhead cast" would be taught first so as to avoid what happened to me. I still work on the overhead cast but my brain will avoid it when any other casting option is available.

Very difficult to get two fisherman to agree on the same color ..... I think the majority (51% ) would suggest Green Pumpkin first. Don't worry, you will own the Watermelon shortly.

I think that you can buy both bags for $60.00 USD .... they will not have storage boxes. The tackle and boxes ..... I wouldn't dare to add it up.

The Superline hook is heavier, which will affect your baits "Rate Of Fall" .... Not always a bad thing. Their Primary purpose is to get fish out of Heavy Cover (Grass, Wood etc.) with a tighten down drag. Does not make them better, they have different applications.

They are a beefed up version of what you are using. Designed for heavy cover .... won't straighten them out.

Here ya go! The first image is a smaller bag for Spares etc. The last two images are my main tackle bag. I hope this helps in some way.

I use a Trokar Straight Shank Flippin Hook in (4/0 ..... I think ).
