Nice fish A-Jay. I may have to dust off the fly rod this year ....

My waters get polluted with Mayflies. I have watch big smallies fin at the boat like dolphins but wont give you a look ..... I didn't say as big as dolphins. LOL The Marabou Jig will fool a few but not often.

I see similar results as A-Jay. Some of our Smallmouth waters do not have Crayfish so Perch and Minnows are the Food Group. In waters that have Crayfish and Perch, IMHO I believe the Smallmouth favor the Crayfish for sure.

1. 2500 Spinning Reel with a Medium Heavy 6' 10" Rod. 2. 10-15 lb High Vis Braid with a 8-10 Fluorocarbon Leader. 3. Offset worm hooks, soft plastics and a few split shot weights ... hooks to match the plastics. Good to go. Sorry, I may have misunderstood your question ..... tips are vast and numerous. Find the fish .... it gets easier after that.

As i am sure most are aware that double dipping JJ's Magic creates alternative colors .... no recipe for black. Orange = Chartreuse + Menthylate Green = Chartreuse + Blue Purple = Blue + Menthylate Brown = Blue + Red

Yep. I have always reeled my spinning gear left handed and my casting gear right handed .... And yes, I cast using both hands. As J Francho has stated, I am at the ready before my lure hits the water. My spinning bail is closed before my lure hits the water as well .... unless i decide not too.

I think it is important that I give a little detail to my reply ..... when I use attractants (Mega Strike) my goal is to get a second lick from the bass if you will, too hold on just that split second longer. If your attractant can do this, in the world of fishing, that is huge to say the least.
