Nope. It literally looks like a bullet weight mated to a hook. Never have to worry about pegging

I had a buddy show me his texas rig setup. His hook had the bullet weight made onto the hook! Anyone know what this is called? Link?

I was gonna go the Lews route. Cabelas got swamped and nothing left. I'm gonna get one in the $149-179 range very shortly

I had a Shimano Citica failure over the weekend. Trying this now. I like the fact I don't have to open up a side plate. We shall see.

I just picked up the CT Type R. Gonna throw some brush hogs tonight.

Picture this You put the reel back together. The handle turns smooth the line gear is moving back and forth and spool isnt moving CLutch issue

Had a new Citica for 3 weeks. Started noticing the side plate to access brake system switch was hard to slide "closed" Would realign make sure nothing was "binding" and proceed. Loosen tension spool etc. I showed my buddies and they too were stumped. Then the handle would turn smoothly, the line retrieve gear would move but spool was not moving. Gave up and returned it to Cabelas. (No questions asked) Went to reel section and opened up a new Curado and the same thing was happening. Tried a 2nd Curado same thing (Mind you the drag and tension spool were tightened) Just a heads up Gentlemen

I've been using Berkley XL 8lb on a Shimano Citica/StCrois Premier 2 piece M Fast. I'm wondering if I can get a tad more distance with the Berkley Iron Silk. Distance is important for the bank fishing I enjoy. Suggestions on an other monos for all around fishing are also welcome.
