Let me add in quality control to this thread as I was a.....forgot how to use English's the other day buying my daughter soccer cleats. While my wife and daughter were shopping for cleats I decided to check out the fishing section. When I looked at the spinnerbait and jigs they generally looked like s**t. Skirt material all lumped up on one side or the skirt not fully on the bait. I have a caveat to that as the Missle baits jigs all looked good. To be honest until last weekend I did not know what a store bought jig cost since I quit buying them in about 2005. Looking at some of those jigs on the rack for $4.99 I don't know how someone sleeps at night charging those prices. Allen

Look into the vise I posted above as it is $15 and uses a suction cup. I wire my jigs at the kitchen counter or on a outside glass table. Allen

My first write up so there was bound to be an issue. Once I get my shop set up I plan on making videos. Being a visual learner I can learn more in a 15 minute video than I can reading a bunch of articles. Allen

I do two wraps but I can see where I am missing a pic in the sequence. Bend the wire in a horseshoe and place it over the jig points down, then pull them up and around to the top. Slowly pull the two ends with the pliers until tight then start twisting. My wraps look like a split ring with the two cut ends twisted together. Allen

I have finally learned some discipline on buying lures. After replacing new lures that I never fished with newer lures I bought it became ridiculous. Now I just buy known productive lures on sale and tackle making supplies. If I find something that really interests me I buy it but no more bulk purchases of the latest bait. Allen

Not my first choice but whether or not it's worth the money is up to you. When I was a broke teenager I would say no because of the cost. Now that I am in my 40's time on the water is more valuable than the cost of lures. I am going to spend $20 on a lure that runs right as opposed to a $3 lure that I have to spend an hour tuning. I use them but not as much as other trailers for jigs. Where I use them is if I am unsure of the swimjig versus dragging jig bite. They can be used as either so I just use them as a search bait trailer. Allen
