Effect does finding rod spine
Yes it will if you are fishing for 500lb goliath grouper. Bass rods will but you can not feel it. Allen

Spinnerbait tools
If you are going to be bending wire I would get a pair of round nose pliers as well. Allen

Any soft plastic works but lizards, jacks worm, and centipedes are what I use most often. Allen

Fishing Etiquette
If some of you would ever fish the Lower Potomac your head would explode. The community holes have people fishing 25' from each other on a regular basis. Most of the time it doesn't bother me but sometimes it does. Once I was fishing a grass bed smaller than my boat doing clockwise circles, Another boat pulls in like 15' ahead of me and when I said something his reply was this is a community hole. Well I decided to drive my boat through the community hole 3 times just to break up the grass. Had two guys pull between me and a point when I had to re-tie a lost lure at less than 25'. We said something to them but they just ignored us. My partner stopped me as I was going to see if I could snag some of their rods off the front deck since they were so close. Allen

Most expensive lure
Bought a special edition Sammy from Japan called a No-Knock for $35. Fishing a tournament here on the Upper Potomac and figured I would try it out. Second cast like you said I thought someone threw a cinder block off the bridge and bam hookup. Tiger Muskie was 45" and about 20lbs but I landed it. The hooks are now all mangled and scratched up the bait. Most expensive one I bought was a Nishine btour crankbait off ebay for $38. It looks really nice but has caught nothing so it is just setting in the basement. Allen

Most expensive lure
Marty Burns is the guys name if I remember correctly. His screen name is BigM and/or BentonB for here and Tackleunderground. I have a few of his baits in my collection. Allen

Keitech Swing Impact Fat
Thought it was against the rules to post a link to a non-sponsor site so I was sending PM's. I can pour my own but would never sell them as I cannot make them in volume. Lake Champlain lures is who I buy mine from which is probably where Bluebasser is getting his. Allen

SpinnerBaits ...How cold is to cold ?
Once the water temp hits 45 degree's it is game on and I catch them on all hard baits. Allen

What are your staple colors?
Soft plastics: GP, watermelon. black, junebug, and smoke sometimes with different colored flake. Topwater: white or black belly (this covers buzzbaits as well). Jerkbaits: Translucent (e.g. Ghost minnow), reflective (silver, gold, etc), and Opaque (shell white, Ayu. etc.) this category is where I carry the most baits in different styles and colors spring and fall. Jigs: GP, Black, brown, and or a combination of the 3. Swim jigs: Whitish, sunfish, or GP. Spinnerbaits: Whitish, shad, solid black. and whatever random color I decided to make that week. Crankbaits: shad, chart. w/black back, and crayfish for the river. Allen

Finesse Topwater
Finesse topwater to me is the LC Bevy Pop or the TD popper that are both about 3/16oz. They do make a torpedo smaller than the tiny but I have caught everything form a 3" sunfish to a 45" tiger musky on that bait so I never bought anything smaller. Allen

First bass on my home made chatter bait
Agreed! Allen

GYCB Kut Tail Worm ?
I user some of them in the smaller size 3-4" to fish for keepers in some ultra clear waters for certain tournaments. Allen

Expensive baits vs mid price baits
Certain lures that cost more perform better out of the box generally. Jerkbaits come to mind a high dollar one will perform better than a cheap one. Personally I use whatever works because my time on the water is valuable to me and I don't want to waste it trying to tune a $3 jerkbait. That said my best deep diving crank is a SK 5 series and yeas I own a lot of MB and LC deep divers. Best lipless is a discontinued Kinami bait from Gander Mountains $0.99 bargain bin. Jerkbaits are LC, TD, Imakatsu. etc. which are all expensive. Cost does not equal fish catching ability. Allen
