Guilty as Charged . . .
Army Ft. Lewis, WA 2nd BN 75th Ranger Regt. for a couple of years. That area is beautiful for about 3 weeks a year the rest of the time it just drizzles everyday. It wouldn't be too much of a problem except the Army makes you stand in formations outside all the time. Allen

Guilty as Charged . . .
If you live in the SeaTac area there is no need to look at the weather forecast. It's going to rain with a 85% chance every day of the year except maybe 4 weeks between July and August. The way we knew the forcast is if you can't see Mt. Rainer its raining. If you can its going to rain. Allen

Lure colors
YoYears ago I decided to only carry 6 colors of any soft plastic. The 5 that work the best for me and a new one to tryout that gets rotated. Some baits I even carry less colors as there is no need for 6. Allen

Morning Dawn Zoom Z- drop worm. Total unicorn.
M nmDSC in Virginia (I think that is what it is called?). They bought out the stock that Virginia bait had when they closed. Just don't buy up all the swamp crawlers before I can get some more. Allen Found the package from them. Allen

What's The Hardest Bait/Lure To Fish with?
Since I rarely use deep diving cranks I will go with jerkbait. After a few hours my wrist starts to hurt and if they are still working I switch to a spinning rod. Allen

Spinnerbait blade configurations
So I throw 3 main configurations of blades; double willow, single Indiana, and Colorado over Indiana. Most days in clear to stained water a double silver willows work best. Single Indiana I use for slow rolling in the spring. Not sure how much of a difference is between a 5 Colorado and a 6 Indiana but it just works better for some reason? Third setup is one a buddy turned me onto. Colorado over Indiana that I believe works because they never see it? I have followed boats down the bank throwing the typical chart/white baits and caught fish right behind them. If I can remember where I stashed my spinnerbaits during our home inspection I will take some pictures. Allen

New chatterbait head
Those are heads lurepartsonline sell that only come in 3/8 and 1/2oz. The one pictured I made a mold for someone since LPO was way behind and he wanted to use other hooks. Try the Sparkie heads mold if you can pour them yourself? I have not tried to make a 1/8 but I made about a dozen 3/16. Allen

Culling tackle
Go to Black Hills Lake Seneca and you will double that in a day. I pull about 12 of those out of the water every time I go fishing there. Allen

Spinnerbait blade configurations
Hoping to keep the threads alive about spinnerbaits as I love the tooic. Since we have already discussed color and blade size I would like to discuss configurations. The most popular is a silver Colorado followed by a gold willow. This is a catch all arrangement that works well overall in situations where a spinnerbait works. That being said in a pressured area fish have seen it enough that they can recognize the bait brand. So what blade configurations does everyone like and under what conditions? Allen

Culling tackle
If I lived to be 150 I doubt I could ever use all the lures in my collection. Besides I only plan on getting rid of about 25% to start. Allen

Culling tackle
Thanks for being someone who understands who understands! So when everyone asks how did I accumulate so much stuff it goes back to my childhood. I grew up poor and could not afford the fishing stuff I wanted as a teenager. Until I was in 9th grade then we barely hit middle class? To put things into perspective my current garage is bigger than the house we lived in for years. Now I have put myself through college with the GI Bill and learned valuable lessons in life. At this point I can afford whatever I want for fishing but my time is limited. So when I can't go fishing and want to I buy stuff that I hope to use when I can. Over the years it has added up to the point where you can barely walk through my basement without tripping over boxes of lures. Allen

Culling tackle
It's one of 9 66 quart tubs in the basement or garage. Willing to bet I have as much tackle as Dicks Sporting Goods here in Hagerstown. Not sure if I will get around to the soft plastics anytime soon? A lot of them I will just give to the Jr bassmasters clubs in the area. Allen Let me know if you need about 800 more packs of plastics? Allen

Culling tackle
While I have serious slowed down on buying new tackle stuff I have accumulated over the years is out of hand. Not sure if everyone saw the video I posted showing the tackl explosion in my basement? Desided I really need to just get rid of a lot of it. To tell you how bad it is I started going through all my unopened highend hard baits yesterday. There is now a 66 quart tub with 168 NIP LC, Megabass, and Zenith baits to be sold. Stopping by Walmart tomorrow to buy more tubs. Allen

Upgraded to 36v lithium TM and battery
Most lithium batteries are about half the size as lead. I replaced 2 Group 27 batteries that were 62lbs each with a single 36v lithium at 38lbs. Allen

How much wasted tackle?
My issue is I grew up very poor and could not afford the fishing stuff I wanted. Now that I make a 6 figure salary I can afford what ever I want but don't have as much time to fish. The less time I have to fish the more I want to go so I buy lures for when I can go. It got out of hand for a couple years but I have reigned it in lately. Allen

Upgraded to 36v lithium TM and battery
Not sure this is the correct place for it so Mods feel free to move if not. I upgraded from a 24v to 36v Fortrex and went with a lithium 60A battery. World of difference! Boat can now get on plane with the TM and I lost 92lbs of weight in the rear of my boat. Can't explain how much better the boat performs and while the battery and charger were $1300 it is well worth it. Allen
