As you can tell I've been posting a lot about hooks, I'm just trying to figure out the hook game completely. I'm wondering what would you use a 1/0-2/0 in a offset round bend hook or a ewg hook?

I have a 5/0 Flippin hook straight but I don’t have a 5/0 normal straight shank hook is there a difference?

I have something currently that looks like rubber core sinkers but there is no rubber it's roughly the same shape as them but no rubber. Do you know what they are called I'm assuming they will work? They weigh 3 grams each

Ok I think I do agree with this. The next question would be how would you decide how many of x to pack so say you know you want to toss a jerkbait but not sure on the color what would you do if you wanted to cover the different depth ranges and sounds they make deep rattle or silent etc

I'm looking at my tackle trying to get it ready for the season. I started out with a lot of strike king stuff jerkbaits,lipless,squarebills etc. Since then I've gotten better baits like lucky craft. Now I'm having trouble debating what to bring in my boxes since I can't bring it all. Anyways I guess I'm asking would you use your "cheaper" baits to use them up because otherwise they will just be on the back burner or how would you pack? Just to be clear I'm talking stuff like a kvd jerkbait vs the same depth lucky craft jerkbait kind of stuff

If you have the hard water months does it hurt to spool your reels 3-4 months early?

Curious for the fisherman that have fish for a long time and have done a lot of research. What do you do to keep improving? I ask this because it seems like some anglers on here are pretty set in there ways (baits and style etc) and was curious what keeps fishing interesting enough until they get on the water next. Or do they just not try to improve when they are not on the water?

so I’ve thought about this a lot. Why wouldn’t white work it matches crappie and there are tons of crappie in my lakes. Not to many minnows unless we count baby bass or baby bluegill still not a white color. Now I’ve heard that bass don’t like to feed in crappie to much because they are harder to catch or something I think wrb chart may have said this. also seems odd to buy a bluegill jerkbait idk why

OK so I live in Iowa Most of our Lakes don’t have shad. We have bluegill Crappie crawfish frogs. When buying hard-baits would you buy white,reflective and ghost so 3 colors or stick to the bluegill natural colors and craw dad’s?

Ok so are Tubes productive for large mouth bass never see it in the top 10 are the big tournaments unless they’re being flipped I’m talking about tubes that are dragged on the bottom
