Yeah I’m done throwing away fuses lol. I looked around everything seems fine with wires which is what is weird the Mayfair pump works great when I flip the recirculated switch but not at all even the switch doesn’t light up when I flip up the aerator switch. It does with a new fuse but then blows.

So the yellow pump works well I’m assuming it just circaltes the water. It turns on when I flip recirculated switch. The aerator switch is what doesn’t work. Does that still run off that Mayfair pump?

My livewell will not pump in water, everything else works with it but it doesn’t pull in water from the lake. I tested the fuses and found the bad one. I tried 2 new fuses and blew them as I flipped the switch. Well then I blew water into the back and front of the intake and then took off the pump and blew water in the case that holds it, put a new fuse in and it work for 10 seconds longer than it has since it broke. Then it blew but there was more sparks this time any suggestions or ideas?

Is braid or Kevlar better than wire? Or just the same atleast?

I was wondering if any of you have fished with him and if so does he use a lot of different techs and keeps up with things like the whopper plopper or kietechs. Or does he have his go tos. Also is there any tournaments on flaws website he got a lot of camera time?

Yeah sorry everyone for the confusion. Basically all I was saying is I’m a bit confused because 1. People use all braid at different test (technique depending) then either a small leader of some sort either fluro or mono 2. Some do like half the spool of mono backing then whatever fluro they want (side note do they change the pound of mono backing technique depending?) what pound of mono is good for backing/also What band to you reccomend? 3. And lastly some people just run all fluro then leave half of what they put on for the backing for next time. So I was wondering what is the most common one that the pros do. I would think tactical does the braid because it’s cheaper in the long run? So they save a little money with clients Ik it also has some benefits But figure that’s the main reason

Thanks this happened last year and I took it all apart and cleaned it with electronical cleaner and re hooked the small wires and it worked I think then it was honestly just the wires not being connected. I didn’t replace the o rings because I didn’t know what I was doing honestly. I just bought the o rings from minn Kota and they are on there way. I also go electronical cleaner again and am going to take it all apart clean everything I can even gently take off the small wires and clean them. If this doesn’t work I’ll take it to the to the shop. Is there anything else I can do to try to get it to work? Also did the water getting in possibly ruin anything for good?

Hello my trolling motor slowly died today on the lake after it was fully charged and I used it for maybe 10 mins. I got off the lake and took it home and when I undid it water came out of the trolling motor. See pictures below. This happen last year and I took it apart clean the black junk off but found out it was just a small loose wire...I check all the wires and they are all connected. If someone could help me I would REALLY APPRECIATE IT! More details I thought of. When it was going out today it sounded just louder in general and went in and out from working. It would barely work for a couple mins then quit completely and start again for a little bit once again hardly working. Now its completely not working

I’m trying to ask what is the best approach. Is it what do they do with all braid and just a fluro leader or is it something else?

I’ve seen people use all braid and then 8 foot or so leader for all their set ups. But many people on the tour seem to spool up with all fluro/ the other half does braid backing them fills the last 1/4 or so of the reel with fluro. I guess what I’m asking is what is the best appoarch and why?

It’s a 2005 v-18 tracker. I had them installed by a marina and hope nothing is wrong since I know nothing about them. Is it common not to read around 4mph I thought most people could see there’s on 8mph and more

Above is my motor I live in Iowa and asked if runing the motor in cold temps would hurt it I was told no if I lower the unit and drain it after use. I’m just curious though because it’s about 30 here daily wth colder nights around 20 or below. How long should I run it once I turn it on? anything else I should do?
