  2. just notice this thread but he has ZPI custom reel parts on that reel and ZPI are Japanese and very very expensive just one piece of the handle is a little over 500
  3. I have been playing with this reel for a couple of months now and i have to say i dont know if its me but i know for a fact i can cast further with my shimano curado than this reel
  4. I have a couple of those but i just don't like them. In this guys video at 6:25 he uses a swimbait that looks like a really small hud and at 4:00 im kinda looking for that swimbait type
  5. im just looking for a 4-6 inch one with the same plastic and everything that huddleston uses
  6. Are there other companies just like Huddleston who make small swimbaits like the 68 special or even smaller?
  7. I just bought this real and read this thread to understand how to use the reel. If your using mono filament you can use the flourocarbon setting. Here are american weight sizes to grams fyi with settings -------------------------------------------------------- 1 = 4/6 (basically 3/4)= 1 1/16 (basically 1) 2 = 3/8 = 3/4 3 = 1/4 = 3/8 4 = 1/8 = 1/4 A = 1/4 = 1 1/16 (basically 1) 4/6(between 1/2 and 3/4) -------------------------------------------------------- You can get more accurate but in all reality you wont find weights that are that specific.
  8. Ok if you want to do it by yourself tape them to the rod and adjust them until even bend or call mudhole and ask for Todd, Adam, or Bob and they will get you a spacing
  9. it all looks good the lube looks brand new...im starting to think that because im just so use to braid its more difficult for me to learn this different braking system
  10. i have known how to use a baitcaster just about all my life and its a different feel like one cast will be ok and the next cast is like better or worse and ill put the same effort into both cast its like relearning how to cast a baitcaster
  11. i normaly fish lews bb1 series with 40lb to 65 lb braid and i started to use flourocarbon and mono in the past couple of months. well today i bought a shimano curado and i put 14 lb flourocarbon and its weird to cast. the braking system is different from what i use and i have 2 inside brakes on and its set to 3.5 ish on the outside adjuster. no matter what i do i feel weird to me when i cast anything to help? should i switch it to braid than switch it to mono later on when i learn the brake system on the reel?
  12. looking for flourocarbon with no memory
  13. im looking for some swimbaits i can use in the kissimee chain of lakes in florida, keep in mind its basically gonna have to be weedless cause of all the hydrilla and weeds.
  14. i live in florida they wont see braid but ill put a 20lb leader of flourocarbon if your not in murky water like florida i would use 15lb flourocarbon
  15. so which one has the lowest memory
  16. whats the best crank bait company/color for harris chain down to miami, im looking for a good color for butler chain of lakes. Had a hard time fishing butler and im thinking i should use a crankbait and go for schooling bass.
  17. so whats the difference between Seaguar InivzX fluorocarbon and seagur tatsu fluorocarbon, is it just more expensive, less memory, better knot strength, and etc...
  18. i personally flip a fs966-mhx rod blank with mhx win grips, and fuji concept single-foot all-purpose running guides model l alconite rod guide, and a 4.5 tip. one of my captain is one of the original rod builders there, and he sets me up with stuff that is not to expensive, and very durable.
  19. no i see the problem, trust me i had the same issue until i found this video and i finally realized how strong it is and what i was messing up
  20. on butler chain we like to just put the trolling motor on half power and just have a 3/4 oz carolina rig and move every 25 seconds
