Fishing in the wind
Hello all, went to Toledo bend this weekend (July 21st) and the water was soooo choppy. It was crazy. I don't have any experience in super choppy/windy conditions. Can someone give a few tips and tricks? Top water baits? shallow or deep? docks or shoreline? Crankbaits or swimbaits? Really any information will will be helpful. Thanks in advance

Casting baitcaster/weightless worms
My current rod is a medium diawa that's rated at 1/4-1oz.. a rod I plan on purchasing is dobyns fury 703 rated at 3/16-3/4.. is there really a difference between 3/16 and 1/4? Wil it help casting lighter weights ?

Casting baitcaster/weightless worms
Hello everyone I need some help.. I have been using baitcaster awhile now but I still can not thumb it. I usually set it up so I don't have to thumb it. Heavier weights seem to be easier.. I bought a medium rod and can still only cast a weightless worm like 20-30 feet (idk of that's far).. everyone I loosen the tension knob to practice thumbing it, as soon as i cast I get a birds nest, I don't even have a chance to thumb it... any advice would be great.. thanks

Thanks everyone for the great info. It has been greatly appreciated and very helpful.

Mirage drive vs pedal drive
Thanks, I'm kind of a penny pincher so I want to make sure I like everything about the kayak I choose before spending 2k-3k dollars

Mirage drive vs pedal drive
Thanks for the advice. There are so many pros and cons of each it's hard to decide. I don't plan on fishing in 6 inches of water so that's isn't a factory for me. As of now I'm fishing in Toledo bend which as a lot of stumps. Running into those has me concerned. Storage- I saw a YouTube guy say the hobie is better bc the drive slides under back seat.

Livetarget spinner rig
Hey everyone, it's a pretty new lure. Has anyone used one yet? They have different sizes in different weights. What is the difference between the medium and large? What is everyone's thoughts on other livetarget lures?

Mirage drive vs pedal drive
Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a kayak. I have done a fat amount of research and watched a lot of YouTube videos. I know demoing them will be the best. As far as durability and reliability as far as parts and the mechanics that make them run. I.E. the rudder, cables, switching from forward to reverse, dropping/lifting the rudder. Do these parts wear out and become useless over time?

Keeping/framing a bass
That is a good point about deteriorating. Mounting is much better word than framing. Lol

Keeping/framing a bass
Is it good for the fishery to keep a large fish you catch to get framed? Or is it better to take pictures and measurements to have them replicate it? What is the cost difference between using the fish you catch and having a replica made ? Pros and cons of it all would be helpful thanks

Best $100 Rod
This question comes up a lot. Lol. I am also about to upgrade from Walmart rods to $100 rod as well and narrowed my choices to *** black fate and and a fury rod. I have seen a lot of suggestions for fury but nothing on the black fate. Is it good or bad that there are no reviews ?

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Hello all, hope all is well. I will be returning to Louisiana after being away for awhile. I am a casual weekend fisherman who is looking for a partner or friend to fish with and maybe a learn a thing or two. I have been fishing a few years so you won't have to worry about being hooked during one of my cast. Lol. If you have a boat that's great and I would pay for gas. I typically fish near pirates cove (Florine) . Thanks

Toledo bend fishing partner

patagonia state park
Thanks for the answer. I would imaging you fish them the same as largemouth than which makes it a little easier.

patagonia state park
Hello, I'll be moving to Arizona shortly and was wondering how the fishing is around Tucson? I have primarily fished largemouth and the little bit of research I found said that patagonia state park is a great place to fish and is known for black bass.. the second part of my question is.. are black bass and large mouth the same thing? Thanks in advance.
