super light- (not HIGH stella/steez price)- one word FUEGO! I own the 2500 for my dropshot rod and love it! I previously had a pti engergy 20 and the fuego beats it in every area- I am buying a FUEGO 3000 next!

I have some of the RC's and they are a favorite- the BDS don't seem to do as well for me-

Sorry if this has already been discussed- didn't want to search. I just bought some Netbait plastics (finesse worm and their 5" senkos). The baits look really good- I am always looking for something a lil different- got my favorite colors and they feel strong (long lasting hopefully)- any thoughts would be appreciated-

just got my BSR 852 GLX Spinning rod in from the fat fish and immaculate! can't wait to use it- I do agree with the other guy saying look out for B grade- hope thats not the case but from what I can see its awesome- $285 delivered versus $360 retail + shipping.

great question- I have $200 worth of 90sp staysee's and luv'em to death! I find them useful in the spring/fall in cold/clear water 40-55deg. The retreive is very simple; cast as long and far as possible reel down fast and hard til you think bait is at max depth, then stop/pause for 5-10sec then reel up slack til line is tight and RIP RIP RIP, jerk that rod so you can feel that bait pulse hard 3 different times and stop watch line stay paused- then repeat. Play with the retreives sometimes they only like a single rip or a very long pause up to a minute or I have heard of even longer! Play with this retrieve and it sounds funny but you seriously can't jerk it to hard! go for it and hold on

I consider them all UN-lucky craft, except for the 90sp Staysee jerkbaits in cold water (smallmouth).

actually the quantum pti's are not even jappy they are made in china- I own 4 of them- for the money not too bad a bit heavy and the bail can be a bit of a handful. I really like my Daiwa fuego 2000 for finesse fishing- I want to get a fuego 3000 for larger rods and line capacity anyone have this reel and thought about it?

in your situation being in canada and using multiple apps for each rod, I would go with P-Line co-polymer on your rod that you jig crank and spinner bait- in 10lb test for that cold clear water in canada. I live in Idaho where the waters are deep cold and clear and it works well. I would line one of the rods with a 8lb flourocarbon for your plastics- it will help you get strikes in that super clear water you fish up there- I like segar invisx because it seems to be more forgiving in the reel/casting. Put those two lines on your rods respectively and that should cover your fishing needs- IMO. Do not spool the flourocarbon on til you are ready for fishing- if it stays on your reel all winter it will form to the spool hence memory and cause line twist- this is not a problem if it is used and is indestructable from the sun and temp. hope this helps

Just got the BSR852 SENKO GLX spinning rod have not got a reel for it yet. I have a Loomis DSR822 drop shot spinning with a Diawa Fuego 2000 Spinner and love it! Are the spinning reels that are higher end of a Fuego like a steez or stella worth it? I have 4 quatum energy pti20's don't mind'em but a bit on the heavy side and don't really care for the way the bail works- especiallly since I got the Fuego for my DSR822. I am pretty set on reel size and that would be 2500 to a 3000 series 6-12lb test reel. Any thought would be appreciated. I fish for smallmouth and largemouth here in southern Idaho.
