  1. 4.4lbs is nice but I want your boss lol.
  2. Good job and congrats now go catch some more.
  3. I think about 3 lbs top. of fillets.
  4. Uni and trilene not for everything for me.
  5. Good time pal. I'm not sure, if I'm gonna ever convince my wife to fish for bass and not keeping them lol.
  6. 10'? Hummmm! I think 10" should be enough.
  7. I wish we have bowfin here in SoCal. SoCal is so pathetic in game fishing, we almost have nothing but bass.
  8. Normally when I bank fishing, I start with fast moving lure, let say chatterbait/spinnerbait, Jerkbait and Fluke as my search bait. If bite is not hot and I know where fish supposed to be at, I would slow down with the lures that can stay in target zone longer like drop shot, wacky rig Senko. My answer might not be the best though since I'm still learning myself.
  9. I don't know man, it is an old reel I have not born yet. Lol My guess is regular scorpion 1500 come with deep silver spool, then there is different version SF? with quick fire light weight/shallower spool. Like chornarch version we have here.
  10. I'm sorry too that I just saw this post, but glad everything is okay now. My best wishes to you, your son and your family.
  11. Bank or boat? Do you know where the fish at (structure, rock, tree, grass)
  12. Should I admit that I never caught a single bass on small swimbait? Lol. I need recommendations for swimming jig head or weighted swimhook in 1/8 and 1/16 oz. I plan to use these with 2.5-4.5" various soft plastic.
  13. " It would only take an 18"er to be 4 or even 5 pounds" I can believe on that. That fish look really fat and healthier compared to the fish I caught down here. Today I caught another two 19 inchers and just weight one of them. He is only 3.5lbs. I think bass in my lake is not gonna turn into giant as the one on Clear Lake.
  14. d**n you @Sam you should have posted this before I bought my reg adjustable one. The one you post sound pretty good, but if it is strong enough to back the 4000lbs trailer up slope? The price is not that bad too around 120 bucks @ Amazon.
  15. Haha hell no
  16. Shoot, I can't even catch a tiny one.
  17. Yes please, would you like my address?
  18. I caught a bass with gutted hook the other day. This fish fight very hard and jumped all the way until I lipped him. Now the hook inside his gutted might be 3 - 4/0 worm hook and might be there for awhile. I tried to roll the hook out with no available. So I guess it 50/50.
  19. Give Texas rig and dropshot a try. Get a bag of Senko and 4/0 EWG hook. Try to slow down.
  20. Went out to give my lefty reel a try this morning with new handle. Used zoom Magnum Fluke got 3 bites and land only one 16 incher. As always the one that you lost always a giant, this one jump, and spit my lure made me screaming like those YouTube kids.
  21. 11 fish in 30 mins, I call that BS. Send me that very same lure and let me try so I know if it is for real?
  22. I have done it multiples time and sometime I wish I had done a second hookset when I saw a fish jump and spit my lure. These happen quite simetime when I got close encounters let say 5-10ft away mostly with moving bait. It happened just a few moment ago, I got a line pulling slowly about 10' out set light hook(I was using braid with Zoom Magnum hook and super thick Berkley fusion 19 7/0) and try to keep pressure on, fish jump which seem to be a very very good size one and say good buy. Not many time that I swear after loosing fish, but this time I did it out loud like one those kid from YouTube.
  23. Good deal man and welcome California to BR. I'm also SoCal but on riverside side of town.
  24. Got diy carbon handle from Chaina, I thought it's not suppose to be here for next week or so. Too bad at that time I ordered, I didn't think I'm gonna need long handle so I ordered 90mm handle for scorpion 70. I'll try this handle on 71 and see if it help.
  25. If ya like Watermelon Slice then ya need to look at California 420! ?
