How Would You Matchup The Following Rods & Reels?
For someone wanting to fish small and largemouth bass in local lakes, what would be the best matchup of the below mentioned rod and reels? Knowing that a lot of the equipment listed is not ideal, but using what is there - how would you match them up and why? Browning Stalker Gold Baitcasting Combo
Looks like it. I contacted Bass Pro which will send a manual if they can come up with it, but I love it. Casts so effortlessly. Both still have the plastic, bar code and pricing on the handles. He never used them. Both rods are 6'6 MH.

Browning Stalker Gold Baitcasting Combo
My father-in-law just gave me two Browning Stalker Gold Baitcasting combos that he didn't use, and I can honestly say; they are the SWEETEST Baitcasting combos I have ever used. Yes, I know they are discontinued and I know they are low-end, but they are the best casting reels I have used to date. Anyone else have one of these, and do you know where I can get a manual on them?

Cheap Rods - Sorry if this is the wrong topic
It's over your $50 budget, but I picked up a St Croix Triumph X, 6'6 MH yesterday from Dicks for $79.

Abu Garcia Silver Max, Max Z or Pinnacle Solene?
Fishncamp, went to Dicks yesterday and ended up with the 7', MH, Escalade HD for $49 and a St. Croix Triumph X, 6'6, MH fast action for $79. I already have several spinning rods. For fresh water I have a Pflueger Trion reel on a Abu Garcia Vengeance 7' M rod, a Penn 1000 on a Penn 6' light action Rod, and a Bass Pro Shop Offshore Angler Tightline TL4000 on a 7' TL Medium Rod that I use for fresh and salt water, loaded with 20lb braid. I have a Penn Silverado 5000 on a Penn Pursuit 7' graphite Rod that I use mainly for saltwater as well as several larger saltwater spinning reels. Most of my fishing up to this point has been saltwater. It's only within the last year that I've stepped up my fresh water fishing and now my journey into fresh water baitcasters. I'm really loving the feel of these baitcasters and it is not as difficult to cast as I've been led to believe. I pretty much know as soon as I release a bad cast, so I simply just stop the reel and try again. I have a lot to learn, especially about what reel to use under certain conditions but bait casting is not as hard as I was led on to believe. I appreciate yours and everyone's input. I'll most certainly pick your brains in the future! Thanks!

Abu Garcia Silver Max, Max Z or Pinnacle Solene?
Went out today practicing casting for the first time using a baitcaster and did not have a single problem. No squirrels nest! (Knock on wood). Need to practice my accuracy, but overall very stoked. All three reels cast as smooth as silk, but what was surprising to me was the Max Z out performed them all, even the Silver Max. The Max Z is one sweet reel! After casting with all of them I'm definitely going to keep them all and do the setup fishnkamp suggested. Thanks for all of the advice.

Abu Garcia Silver Max, Max Z or Pinnacle Solene?
Fishncamp, man I owe you! That is exactly the kind of advice I was hoping for. Timsford made some good points as well. Fishncamp, to answer your question, I'd be on isle one until the wife walked into another part of the store, and then I'd find my way to isle 2. :-) Probably wouldn't bother with isle 3, as these are my first baitcasters and I'm just wanting to get the hang of it. I've decided I'm going to keep the two Abu Garcia's and not try too hard to sell the Pinnacle. The Max Z and Silvermax are both 6:4:1 gear ratio. The Pinnacle is a 6:2:1 gear ratio. I'm absolutely going to take your advice on the rods and line. I really appreciate your input in this. Thanks so much!

Abu Garcia Silver Max, Max Z or Pinnacle Solene?
Just purchased my first bait caster today - actually 3 of them: Abu Garcia Silver Max, Abu Garcia Max Z and a Pinnacle Solene. Bought them all slightly used for a steal. Regardless of the fact that I've never used one, If I had to keep only one, which one should I keep? Is there a dime's worth of difference between them? They are all on Rhino's 5'6 Medium Action rods (Indestructible Glow-Tip). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
