Sometimes to learn a new technique you have to leave the other rods at home and just fish what you have with you. I did this with jigs.

Normally none, but occasionally I will use crawfish.

I have always worn a ball cap and a couple of weeks ago purchased something similar on amazon. I am anti-sun and would rather not look "in fashion" than have skin cancer.

When I was kid I had one rod for everything, now when I trout fish I use ultra lite. It is a blast to catch them.

I throw 20 lb braid with a leader, not a problem. I even throw it without the leader depending on the situation. You shouldn't have an issue.

For the last time, stop fishing flukes! They just don't work ? Actually, I don't think there is a wrong way to fish them, they work with or without a weight. Most of the time I will fish them without a weight. But I will use weights if there is a heavier current or really windy, so when I cast it goes where I want it to.

spinner baits just never get thrown by me, I tell myself I need to throw them but it just doesn't seem to happen

I actually watched some youtube videos over the winter on tubes. Thought they looked interesting and got some, fished them one time so far and caught a few lgm with them. Will be throwing them more in different situations. But it looks like it will produce for me.

spf 50 and reapply often, it may be annoying to keep doing but the alternative is far worse
