get a trolling motor, makes life a lot easier. However, kayaks are great and very easy to maneuver, so that would be an option as well.

Also, if you fish with other people or just talk to people at the boat ramp ask them what to look for or is something not to buy

I throw a 90 with 10 lb braid. I can throw that thing a mile.

I got my boat out Friday for the first time as well. Fishing was rough, caught a few here and there but overall the bite was not good. The good part was I finally got the boat out though.

$15 for a prop seems like it was well worth it for the fishing, sounds like a great time

congrats, I usually make it trout fishing once per year but I really enjoy it.

light line, 4lbs max but 2 lb test would be better, also rooster tails can work very well
