Where are you guys finding the G Finesse in size 8? On TW and every other site smallest they have is 6.

I have fished the 110 and it bent the hooks out on the first fish I caught 😆

Yeah that’s stupid, especially since their hooks suck. Which is the lesser of two evils have you found w the G finesse - too heavy or too small?

Ok but according to their website the 110’s factory size is #6, yet #5 is recommended in G Finesse to keep the weight the same.

I got the #5 to swap out the regular 110 hooks, but I see the Jr are smaller.

Agreed. Any experience with or knowledge of any Amazon brands? I have the AmySports, are all of those generics inferior to name brands?

I have these, better than traditional snaps? These are what I use for my swimbait setup.

If I am bound & determined to use a snap instead of a split ring, what is the absolute best style/brand I can get for this application?

Interesting, what is it exactly about oval split rings that you prefer or that is superior? I noticed LC uses them.

I recently ordered a 110 off of Amazon. Apparently some JDM issues didn’t ship with the front O rings. Do I need to add one if I am using a snap or am I affecting the action and need to add a split ring and tie direct?

So to be clear they do not offer a 5 wire other than the flex with equal length wires?

Lol I’m not sure that answers my question at all. I am not worried about them missing the hooks, I’m worried about the visual presentation of Hog Farmer’s staggered uneven design.

So I got the Hog Farmer out of the package, I noticed something unusual and different from the other rigs I have tried - the top two wires for the dummy rigs (hookless) are further in than the other three. I assume this is to keep the fish from attacking these which is smart but it looks completely different in the water, less like a bait ball to the naked eye, the uneven nature gives it a less uniform/homogeneous look which I’m not sure if it’s more lifelike or not, but I noticed immediately it is less visible/eye catching and flashy which is what I understood this presentation to be all about. What are your thoughts on this, do all of Hog Farmer’s rigs do this or just the particular one I got? (Hog Farmer BFL Rig.)

How about on handle length of Expride?

Dang it says the handle is 15”. Doesn’t that seem long when everyone is saying you want a shorter handle for this application? It says the Expride handle is 15”. Doesn’t that seem long for what is billed as “the best jerkbait rod in the world” when everyone is saying you want a shorter handle for this application?

Any recommendations on a reel to pair up with it?

I have heard some refer to the Expride as the greatest jerkbait rod you can buy. I understand that this is an impossible statement to validate but is it a pretty safe bet for a starter setup? Just seems a tad long at 6’10”.

Which Hog Farmer specifically? I’m overwhelmed lol there’s like 10 diff models on TW 😭
