  1. Looking into getting a Calcutta conquest dc but can’t decide what size to get. I have a conquest bfs and I love it, it’s super comfortable to fish. I know the bfs is the same size as the 100 but I’m worried that’s too small for some applications. And the drag on the 100 is only 4 kg. I’m not sure if the 100 would suffice for general bass fishing applications. I have not felt a 200 but I’m worried it might be too large for all around bass fishing and I’m not looking for a swimbait reel atm. Basically I’m worried the 100 is too small and the 200 is too big for an all around bass fishing rod. Probably gonna pair it with a 7’ MH rod and I’d like it to be an all around bass rod. If anyone could tell me which one would be a better all around bass reel I would greatly appreciate it.
  2. Anyone know where I could get a Calcutta conquest 101 for under $350?? I’ve already checked all the jdm sites but they’re selling out everywhere.
  3. I have been trying to make this decision for days now and I’ve watched almost every video there is on gear ratios. All my reels are 6.2 and I’ve never found a need for a faster reel and I’m a bank angler. I tend to reel fairly fast so I fear the 7.1 is too fast but some people swear by higher gear ratios. My 16 metanium is a 6.2 and I absolutely love it. I plan on using this reel for anything and everything. I’m spending $300 on a reel I want to be able to pick it up and use it in any scenario I may be in. So I need some help deciding, should I get the same 6.2 gear ratio or try out the high gear ratio 7.1?
  4. Yeah there’s a little bit of scratches on the spool lip, I’ll probably end up sending it to shimano.
  5. Should my Curado K be making this noise, it still feels smooth but the noise really bothers me. I have taken it to get cleaned professionally but it still makes the noise. I know it isn’t because I have to much line on because without line it still makes the noise. Although it does sound like the spool is making the noise. The noise started after a day I was skipping under docks and I had all my breaks on. 56159766911__F320ED40-5E0E-4CDC-80F2-0F3FADC44E15.MOV
  6. Maybe a curado k or shimano casitas Maybe a curado k or shimano casitas, but I’ll only use those reels for like 1-2 oz swimbaits for calicos, I’ll probably buy a much bigger reel for the heavier lures like 5-8oz
  7. I’m looking into buying a rod for calico bass and maybe some bigger saltwater fish like yellowtail, but I can’t decide on x heavy or heavy, the only difference is the lure weight, the heavy is 4-8oz and x heavy is 8-14. You think 8-14oz is a bit overkill?
  8. My curado k has been making and odd noise when I reel, it’s not a old reel. I took it to get cleaned to see if that would fix it, but it’s still the same. It happened after a trip when I was skipping under docks, and my breaks were all the way up I was wondering if that caused this. If so I don’t know what’s wrong with it. The noise is sort of like a grinding noise or like something is rubbing against something. The reel has been buttery smooth and made no noise at all until now, any ideas on what’s making the noise?
  9. If I use one of my freshwater reels, in saltwater will the saltwater ruin the braided line. Like will the line loose color or anything like that
  10. I’ve been thinking about picking up a jackall ganteral jr but I don’t know what color to get. What color works best for you guys.
  11. I’m looking into picking up a livetarget hollow body frog but I don’t know what size to get. It’s between the 55 and the 65, the medium and the largest one. What size produces the most fish for you guys.
  12. I just got a new 201 curado k, and I have no complaints but I just noticed that the spool is very wobbly, like it moves side to side a lot. Is this normal on the curado k or any other Baitcasting reel?
  13. Hi, I am gonna get a Spro BBz-1 rat but I don't know what color to get, I was thinking about morning dawn or nasty shad (in size 40)
