Folks, First things first, if it wasn't for Tatsu I would not use straight FC. That said, I was gifted some Raptor 10lb and was throughly impressed. I feel it was in the middle of Sniper and Tatsu. While I have only used it for moving baits, I was impressed with its manageability, strength and knot strength. Still used L+L, but am likely to buy some 16lb and see if it is as good. Just one guys opinion.

Got shut out for the first time this Spring on Squam today. Been averaging a couple a day. 15 feet of water, 48 degrees

I like 8's for jerks, since most of the work is done with the rod.......picking up slack and timing is easier with an 8/1 for me

With a very late ice-out and water Temps below 50, I feel lucky to average 2 good fish a day. Lip less and jerks bringing my only success. .....it is still better than being snowbound.

I may be precondition Ed but firth thing in the AM, I always throw a rat or pop-max.

If you like braid, Power Pro at wally world is tough to beat

I have been watching a lot more FLW this Spring and I am noticing a lot more guys pulling out their spinning rods sooner and a lot more on deck. Is it just coincidence? Are conditions dictating it? Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on it.

I use 10 and occasionally use a 6lb leader, but mostly no leader

......and don't forget juice boxes, golden fish, lolly-pops,and a few hand toys to play in the sand.

If spooled properly, the only way to get rid of twist is letting it out while trolling with no lure attached. Close the bail by hand Look at going braid to leader, or braid only.
