  1. I replace mine with. I also suspend my jerks by the hooks in my planos Gamakatsu Aaron Martens TGW Nano Finesse Treble Hook
  2. I was given a lot of cheap braid and back all my reels with it. The last 75 yards are reserved for the line of choice. It just works for me.
  3. I was one of "those" guys. Years ago I was into waterskiing and always had promotional Correct Crafts. With a new boat, we were on a fast moving river with steep ramp and no dock. I had to make a decision.......get the truck or brive the boat on. Ski boat are by far the easiest boat to load and the Mrs had years of experience. Long story short, I back down the steep ramp with rocks on both sides. The Mrs approaches from down stream, places the nose near the guides and then HITS the throttle! Drives over the trailer and has it stuck between the rocks and trailer. I had to drive the trailer out to float the boat. After hearing the bang, there were plenty of folks to help walk it on. Luckily my dealer gave me a new boat....
  4. 1. Save your night vision at all cost. It gets easier and your brain will adapt the more it's in that situation. If you are asking yourself if the other boater is a yahoo, stop or take evasive action immediately. Assume the worst!
  5. The bedding areas are far from active, but they are moving up. The staging areas are improving and predictable areas will be getting more fun in the following weeks. I believe the spawn will be long, with the north and east sides of the lakes will go first
  6. Navionics App, worth every penny
  7. Utopia!
  8. I did a lot of research and spoke to some of the best Dr’s in the East. They told me that how they are introduced plays a big role on how well they are accepted. Since it takes years to loose hearing, sound should be introduced very slowly. When I put mine in, there was only a slight improvement. Every day they are programmed to increase 2%, so it will be months until the final verdict is in. The beauty is that I can control them from an app on my phone, so filtering background noise and such is an option........still no fix on the app for “wife voice” or nagging?
  9. For me, wacky is 10 lb braid to 6 to 8 FC T rig varies depending on bait size and environment
  10. Head lamp and Q beam. it is illegal in many states to run with extra external lights. Pontoon boats with accent lights under the deck are getting tickets. Extra lights can raise hell with other boats navigation and can kill night vision. I would check with your state before making an investment
  11. This......and buying used can get you more bang for the bick
  12. I am on Squam and last Sunday was the first we have seen them moving up. Temps are 58 on the surface and we are well behind most years for the spawn. I will be out tomorrow and can report back.
  13. Never heard of anyone saying they had 2 mush HP, but definitely look at any weight difference and $$$$$'s. The the lund would get my vote as I like the layout and have a solid dealer network
  14. Columbia, orvis and patagonia usually get the call, but being on their pro programs take the sting out of the price.....and I can wear them for work too. Long sleeves and hood or necktie, gloves. Took me 58 years to see the light?
  15. Did you put padding down first, or just hydroturf?
  16. Gents, I have a Lund with a vinyl flooring and was wounding if anyone knows or uses a pad to stand of to elevate some back and leg stress. Was wondering if the commercial kitchen pads may be an option. Thanks for any input, Al
  17. XF is a relative term since there is no industry standard. Most will say that they use them for jigs and soft plastics.
  18. Until you figure out the cause.....and I believe it is in the hook set or lack there of, crush the barb to make it easier to remove the hook. I don't believe you will miss many.
  19. In NH, the seller MUST list the issues on the listing document. Unless paying cash, most banks that resell the loans require an inspection by one of their "approved" inspectors.....
  20. Ci4.....all day long..
  21. I would first go on line and find the specks of the boat you have. You should only need the name to start........report back, what you find
  22. Most folk I bring fun fishing have Navionics on there phone and it's a joint effort. If I was bring an "aquantance", I would prefer they ask, and would never say no. A back seater I didn't know, would depend on weather I like him ?
  23. I have found that the phone app is more accurate than the chip on lesser known bodies of water, especially in hazardous condition.
