This is a great subject and conversation we have here. Something I've been thinking about since the tragity on the Big O not too long ago, How does one determine which PFD offers enough flotation. Especially when you take into consideration the extra clothing in colder weather months? Warm weather clothing could potentially add a lot of extra weight if you were to go overboard.

After getting a nice mid winter thaw a few weeks ago we're back to winter. We've received about 8" in the last week with 3-5" forecaster for us today and another couple Saturday night. It's about an inch/hr as we speak. The poor saps in SW Michigan are looking at a foot or more by the end of the day. @slonezp looks like he's getting hammered too. Then we have @A-Jay who appears to have lucked out on this one and is probably laughing as we speak. At least the Elite season has started, so that makes the next couple months that much more agonizing and S-L-O-O-O-W!

Today could be a big shake up, the field is pretty tight.

The only fishing shirts I have now are several Huk shirts and a couple Abu Garcia shirts. The Huk shirts I'm quite fond of, all are very comfortable and look pretty cool (not that I'm going for fashion points).

Funny story I used to hate BBQ but then I went through my chemo treatment and since then something in my DNA changed and now I can't get enough BBQ. My goal this year is to find a good grill the reasonably priced to grill some BBQ. Any advice is obviously welcomed!

I've heard a few times Lowrance has been working on something for a couple years, so maybe soon it'll be unveiled. Maybe ICAST 2018. I've heard Garmin too, but it's not as frequent so who knows. My BIL used to work at Attwood which is where quite a few MG TM's are made and he talked to one of his former co-workers who was at the time still there and he said it looked like Brunswick Corp. was putting their focus on Mercury Marine and Brunswick names and products. Back during the development and release of the Xi5 he said it was a "beat Minnkota" attitude, but that seems to have ended. I hope that's not the case, but it doesn't look good. I saw a thing yesterday that there were only 14 or so guys on the Elites who were running MG and over half of the field were running Mercury.

They change after each tournament. If you forget to set your lineup get a big goose egg for the tournament.

Wow that truly is an art. I'm looking into trying this out as a hobby and I've done a ton of reading and watching of videos and I can say hands down that's the most detail I've ever seen. There is a ton of tedious work that goes into the ones I've seen on YouTube and this one goes way above those. I can only hope to be half that good if I go through with it. When you get it back can you post the picture of the actual and the replica?

The law just changed here in Michigan a couple years ago. It used to be catch and release was the third Saturday in April and catch in keep third Saturday in May. Now it's catch and release all year long and catch and keep is still the same. I'm no smallmouth expert but I think they're done with the spawn before the end of May (I think). Large mouth it's close to that time. Either way as far as Michigan goes there's no shortage of good bass fishing and the laws really haven't changed for the most part.

I totally get where you're coming from. I have an Avalanche that's all red, I never thought I'd like red but this is all red with a couple chrome accents here and there tastefully done and it doesn't have the plastic on the lower half like a lot of avalanches do. I actually like the truck and it's pretty sharp. Spring I'm boat shopping. Not sure which direction I'm going but either way a new boat will be in my driveway. I feel my color options are limited because of the color of my truck. Most likely black, but who knows. Either way I understand your situation. Vinyl wrap the truck...problem solved. ?

Well then I make d**n good hot sauce! Or am I biased because I made it? Maybe it really does taste like crap and my wife and son only eat it because they don't want to hurt my feelings. Either way my hot sauce has kept us alive many weekends so I say it's a win for me! ?
