Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow!
My nephew's girlfriend is from Australia and her family is here for the holidays. They said when the left Australia it was 104 then come here where it was -16. That's a 120 degree difference! ?? My pup is good until around 0, but he doesn't have to worry about that because he suckered he way into our house about 2 months after we rescued him.

It's not snow related but 16 BELOW ZERO this morning. -9 yesterday morning. Great weather for working outside! Frost bite can happen in less than 30 minutes, your nose hairs stick together, for those with facial hair ice builds up around your nose and mouth, and snow has that distinct sound that says it's extremely cold! It's even colder in norther Michigan and other northern states.

MLF 2018 starts Jan 6 2018! Oh Yeah!
She used to do commercials for a local car dealership in my area. The first time I saw her on MLF I was surprised to see her. I thought she was some local actress who did local gigs, but after seeing her on MLF I'm guessing my local dealership had some professional company do it.

Who is ice fishing already?
"Won't be thick enough to hold weight for quite some time" but you're going to go out on it anyways? I'm not sure if that's a good idea, unless you're on 2' or less. Even then why risk it? There was a guy last week in my area who died because he went out to check the ice. It took over an hour to get him out and he died a few hours later. Not worth it.

Post a photo a day!
You'll love the Yeti. I got my wife one a month ago. We haven't tested how long it'll keep your drink hot, but it's as hot 5 hours later as it was when first poured.

We woke up to an extra unexpected 3" as well. We were only supposed to get the 2" or so we got yesterday evening.

Our 8-10" we got last week pretty much melted. Thanks to the 1.5 we got tonight we'll have a white Christmas. Another inch or so possible over the next couple days, bitter cold is not welcomed though. Merry Christmas my friend!

That is a good idea. Another thing, in my mind at least a red flag would go up for me if a retailer is just grabbing whatever numbers and throwing it up there. If it's a good reputable retailer they should take the time to put everything on there and make it look professional. Like the example you gave. All else fails just ask the BR family. There's plenty on here who'll steer people in the right direction.

Oh and then there is the helix G1 then there's the G2 then there's the G2N the "N" means it can be networked. The rest can not, as far as I know. They are all spelled out and easy to understand if you do your part and research, ask questions, and read more. It's confusing to a person who's just getting in the market. The price you pay these you better educate yourself before you pony up that kind of coin. Then there's the learning curve associated with getting a new unit an understanding what it can do and most importantly what the heck you're looking at.

They do have different designations. There's a Helix GPS Helix sonar Helix sonar GPS Helix DI Helix SI Each step down you go you get everything mentioned above if that makes sense.

Wheres the best place to work????
You hit the nail on the head! My line of work will chew you up and spit you out if you don't approach the job like you described. Year in and year out we retain our "core techs." As my boss calls us. Everybody else quits by the end of dig season. To the OP you have a construction background as do I. I'm guessing you enjoy working with your hands, being outside, and using your brain. I would look into the utility industry. I'm a contractor for a large gas and electric supplier here in Michigan and I absolutely love my job. I'm actually trying to get into the utility supplier as we speak. As a contractor the money could be better, but who doesn't say that. Getting into the actual utility company you'd be set. Look into being a lineman for an electric company. There's a nationwide shortage of about 5,000 lineman. A couple years of training you'd be around $40/hr. Great insurance and benefits.
