  1. Doucet, I rarely use sinking line or weights. Perhaps when fishing deep water such as lakes but that's about it. There is a fly dressing that helps your flies sink faster, usually found at any fly shop. You can also just spit on them. The specific gravity of saliva is greater than water and your fly will sink quicker. There are tons of fly fishing books available as well as much info on the net. I would encourage you to join a fly fishing forum and ask questions specific to the area and water that you intend to fish. Without knowing much about your situation it is hard to make recommendations. Good luck and have fun.
  2. I have used wooly buggers, wooly worms, Clouser minnows, Clouser crayfish and popping bugs for bass fishing. Lots of fun on a fly rod.

Are those considered a food fish? As has been said in an earlier post, chubs and suckers are mostly used for bait here.
  4. I can only say that Lowe builds a quality boat. I saw the ads for the Stinger myself and if I was looking for a new tin boat I would look very closely at that one. Good luck, and let us know if you are able to see one in person.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Yep, you really need a lot of batteries on a lake the size of Liberty. Hope your search for more power works out. Steve
  6. Tinkerer, Sorry that I can't answer your question but that is one sweet motor. How long have you had it? How much thrust/hp do you estimate that you have? Was it made by someone who sells them? I am asking all this because I am in MD also and always looking for more power on our electric lakes. Thanks
  7. Very nice conversion Low Budget! Looks good!
  8. Even though I prefer aluminum for our rocky river bottoms thats a REAL NICE looking boat. Good luck with it.
  9. Long Mike, Very ingenious....looks good!
  10. I think that if you bought a bass boat with a working or nonworking outboard and only used your trolling motor you would be fine on any of those waters.
  11. I don't know squat but I do use a transom saver. I have owned two boats with outboards and they both came with them. Why wouldn't I use it?
  12. If it has a trolling motor is is already a dual use boat. I would just add a transom electric motor to the stern and go fishing. I don't know about GA but up here in MD you can take a bass boat on any electric only water as long as you don't fire up the outboard. You ought to check and see if that isn't the case down there as well. Good luck.
  13. Sounds like fun times ahead. Good luck with your project.
  14. Looks very nice. Should give you many hours of fishing pleasure.
  15. SpinnerB, Thanks for the update. I hope you unlock the secrets to fishing your new territory. You will be close to some awesome Salmon fishing. SteveF
  16. Striperone & SpinnerB, Good to see you guys over here. As you can tell I just found the site myself (thanks to SpinnerB). Looks like a great site that I will be visiting often. SteveFinMD
