T-Rig,

They look like carp. It's amazing to me that you caught them on lures. Very Cool! 8-)

Are they carp? I think of chubs as large minnows caught in streams that we use for bait.

The photos you posted look like carp with a trout mouth. Interesting. :)

Thanks for the photos.

Why not put your location in your signature line. Folks would love to know you're from Switzerland.

Edited: Sorry T-Rig. I made a mistake on your location.

Tom-bass,

i'm from switzerland and those are european chub(Leuciscus cephalus). Those two fish are around 5 lbs.

I'll try to get some more pics.

Large chub, the largest chub I ever caught was a creek chub no longer then the size of my index finger. I sall it surfacing on top of the water and i picked it up with my hand but it died right when i touched it, a sad sight to see.

Are those considered a food fish?  As has been said in an earlier post, chubs and suckers are mostly used for bait here.

There are people that eat them but i dont. But then there are people that eat anything!

I usually catch them while fishing for bass and they put up a good fight and after i release them.

Not so big as yours T-rig, but nice fish for spining sport.

I love this fish.
