I use velcro to attach my unit to the boat. Carpeted a piece of wood then mounted the unit to the block. It holds to the velcro with no issues and is easy to stick down and remove. I used small rivets on the strips just to make sure they stay in place. The mount in my unit is the one it came with.

I have three floor sections all plywood and carpeted and yes when trailering I have had he mid section lift due to wind. My remedy was to place the trolling motor and other weighty items over the sections with bungees to keep them from shifting. This solved he issue. Takes a few times to figure it out but once you have a system you are all set.

I have the 55 lb variable speed endura Maxx as well. The variable speed is more efficient as you dial exactly what you need and are not stuck with preset speeds that may be too fast or too slow. I load the boat down with two 200 plus guys plus battery and gear so I went with the strongest 12v trolling motor and my group size 21 battery matches and last a full outing when fully charged. We get just over 4 MPH fully open when water is not choppy but typically are trolling on very low speeds to hold spots or move slowly along the shore. Just my 2 cents...

Yes there is a owners manual with a page Manufacturers Declaration of Origin. It has fields to enter your boats info and is what you need to register. You might be able to print the manual from he link below or simply contact customer service to have them send you one. Good luck and enjoy the boat. http://www.pelicansport.com/sites/default/files/docs/ip1297-4_owner_manual_fishingboat.pdf

Welcome olecoastie! I was in your place a year ago when I purchased my BR10E. Worked through Jan, Feb and March doing all the mods you mention and more and had her out over a dozen of times this year. Spent alot of time on the trailer I haul her on as well. It is a great vessel to fish in and will get you in areas that are inaccesible to many! Do not be afraid to mod as this thing is hard to sink so drill your holes and keep it moving. Let us know how you make out over the next months.

Hey Luisjjj, Hope you got things settled. Yes these boats in most states will need to be registered if powered by anything other than human. You will need to google a bill of sale doc for your state and complete it with your boat info serial # and model. Always good to have it notarized. Once done off to Motor Vehicles fill out new registration form. Once done you will have to purchase the lettering to properly tag your boat. You will only get the Motor Vehicle sticker from the agency. Wallymart or online stores have alphabet/numbering kits. Let us know how you make out.

Excellent idea! That was why I mentioned key rings and zip ties both holding the plate but this solution is a no brainer. I worried about the longevity of the plastic ties as well. Off I go to find a pair of these small enough to go through the license plate holes. Thanks!

I use key rings along with zip ties to attach the plate to both sides of the bracket. This way the plate is not fixed and actually swings so when tilting the trailer the plate is flexible and will not bend. Yes it swings when traveling down the road but I have not had any issues with cops or troopers. Just my 2 cents..

I carpeted a small piece of wood and mounted the ffinder to the board. It attaches to velcro strips that are adhered to the raider and the carpet backing grips pretty well. When its time to remove it I just lift the unit and pack it away.- Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I have my battery on a piece of carpeted board with a small block of wood to tilt the battery box slightly backwards. I have wooden floor also carpeted in the bottom of the boat (3 sections) so the battery pretty much stays put.- Bass Raider 10e Transom reinforcement?
These are pics of the 10e and you can see that that the transom on the bow is smaller and narrower than the stern. Thanks for the reply and I now agree that the torque from operating the motor is more forceful than the vertical force or pressure when towing with the motor attached. That is no longer a worry and makes it easier for me to strap up and go. Not much info from the manufacturer on this and was wondering if any folks who have had this boat for many years have had to deal with any repairs to the transoms. These boats being plastic pose a different approach than boats made of wood or fiberglass.RLP started following Bass Raider 10e Transom reinforcement?- Bass Raider 10e Transom reinforcement?
Guys, Had the boat out 5 times and using the MK Endura Max 55lb troller on the bow transom. Noticing that there is really not much support on this smaller transom and for that reason I choose not to tow the boat with the motor attached and remove and install it when launching and retrieving. Anybody take measures to reinforce the unit being that it is just a thin plate of aluminum wrapped around the boats plastic? Trying to preserve this beauty and prevent a larger repair. Tight lines!!!- Bassraider 10e
Hey Sheldon, Would love to see a pic of your setup with that top. I am new to the Raider Nation as well and loving the ease and flexibility of these boats. I am just fishing with a 55lb trolling motor on electric only lakes. No issues at all other than getting my line stuck in the prop once. (User error). Gonna be taking a lot of half days to get my fishing in. PM me if you have pics that cant be resized.- I finally did it!!
Nice work! Tight lines!! - Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
