They only came with a rather hard plastic twin tail trailer and no painted blades, frogs, trap style bait, jerk style bait, or 3X material trailer. Here is an ORIGINAL card that was in a plastic bag with the Chatterbait. There were two staples at the top holding it all together.

All the bass boat hatch hinges I have seen are the piano type. The hinge pin is mounted so it is almost flush with the deck and level with the carpet backing. Boats with underseat storage have the seats installed with piano hinges.

How do you envision the installation of the "hinges that work from the inside" ?

Another Chatterbait note: I am still using the original 1/4 oz model I bought from the inventor in 2004. I use it with 50# braid. I've replaced the line tie twice, the skirt about 4 times, and the trailer at least 20 times. All the wannabe Chatterbaits with the split ring connection between the blade and jig head get hung up too much in timber. I caught several bass with it this week. It is like the Energizer bunny- it keeps going-going-going------

With your baitcaster, you need to tighten the spool brake a little more than you do with mono because the line weighs more. Find a disposal place for the Vanish and get some other brand (any other brand).

I use a 9.9 Merc. 2 cycle on my 12' Alumacraft jon boat. It is rated for 15HP. I put the 9.9 on due to some 10 HP restricted lakes I fish a lot.

Catt, I see that your transducer is not fully engaged in the teeth of the ratchets as the peaks are opposite of each other rather than the peaks in the opposing valleys. Did you move it a little to take the picture or do you have it tightened so much that it can stay in that position?

The units have good screen resolution but not Side Imaging. They have side VIEWS, not unlike the vertical view, utilizing a cone shaped beam unlike the beam used with the Side Imaging units. Knowing which side of the transducer shows fish or possible fish holding cover would be an advantage in figuring which direction to make a cast.

I use 16# Stren Magnathin for lipped crankbaits.

You don't have it installed correctly, it should not move unless it strikes something. Water pressure should not move it at all. The centerline should be about level with the boat hull just like in the installtion instructions.

nick76, I have never heard of or observed any installation of a circuit breaker being recommended or installed on the negative (-) black wire of a DC powered system. All recommendations and installations I have read about and observed have the circuit breaker on positive (+) red wire of a DC powered system. What source gave you that recommendation? The dual pawl and single pawl anti-reverse reels have a lever (pawl)and ratchet gear that prevent the reel from turning backwards much the same as the instant anti-reverse but there is some slight backward movement with the pawl type. My cranking reels for lipped baits are 3.8, 4.7, and 5.0 ratios.

Mine was installed at the Tracker factory and they put the rubber washers on each side of the outside of the bracket against the bracket. I see in the instructions about putting both rubber washer on the same end of the bolt with the nut. Make sure that the ratcheting parts are assembled against each other on each side of the transducer and the positioning teeth of the ratchets are in the notches of the bracket. Rearrange your parts like mine is done and tighten enough to squeeze the rubber washers at about 1/3 compression. Then test it for movement with some effort.
