  1. Don't see where the original posted asked for opinions. Could have probably used "least expensive" rather than "cheapest".
  2. While I appreciate fine high-end equipment I personally think the above "settle" comment is a bit demeaning to those that do just fine with their Stratos or Nitro.
  3. Berkley X9 braid is very smooth and casts wonderfully. Very quiet line through the guides also.
  4. Won't be long until the walleyes are gone here in Wisconsin the way they fish them these days.
  5. I would say...."Hey, you seem to be under a lot of stress / pressure these days. Is there anything I can do to help?"..... then follow that up with a...... "Let me take you fishing soon"
  6. Think about how many that are on just BPS rods...you're the first I've heard have a problem. I've got a bunch (BPS and others) and not had any. Would not hesitate to buy more. Still like a high quality cork tho.?
  7. Wad it up and hit it for a few seconds with a heat gun. Turns into a solid little ball. Works with braid also. Don't have to put the flame right on it...just get it good and warm. A propane torch works also if used carefully.
  8. Did you follow the exact instruction on how to sync? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jB6kmyR9Ac&t=43s I put a rocker on/off switch on mine. Not hard to interrupt the "hot" wire that comes out of the battery area.
  9. I tow a 2003 Nitro NX882DC with a 2008 Chevy 4.2 in-line 6 Trailblazer LT. It does just fine. I go up north multiple times a year and round trip is usually 800-1000 miles. Just keep it out of overdrive. I do agree that you need to have a trailer with very well maintained brakes.
  10. I have a 1448 jon boat with a 25 Merc. I've installed floors/casting deck/trolling motor & batteries. It fishes 2 adults wonderfully (very stable) but that's about all the 25 can handle.
  11. Think the Victory might be coming in at around $200 or a wee bit less. I "think" they may shooting for a spring 2021 release.
  12. I'm hearing the Avid-X is going to be discontinued in favor of a new series called VICTORY.
  13. Vilas County Wisconsin Fatty. Swim Jig with Kalin Scrub trailer May 2016
