This is an old post, but I'm just wondering something.... I know lake Burke is a hard, pressured place to fish. is Frederick as pressured or worse?

I'm looking for a fishing buddy. I'm 25 yrs. old and moved up here to Northern Virginia 2 years ago. I have yet to meet anyone that fishes as much or as devoted to the sport as I am. I own a kayak so my choices are a little limited sometimes. Anyone that loves fishing and wants to go sometime, hit me up!

Anyone been out on Lake Burke since the water got cold? I've fished it a few times and caught a couple in the 1lb. range. I see a bunch of shad "as always" but couldn't find any schools or solo fish deep. The fish I did catch were on visible structure in somewhere between 2-8 ft. of water. Just curious if anyone is catching them on the lake.
