  1. And what's your preferred method of fishing that grub?
  2. Thanks for the input. I'll probably start him out with either a med size spinner bait or a square bill crank and I'll either work a Ned, T-rigged plastic or wacky senko. Then if I start catching fish I'll give him my rig and I'll fish something similar. I've been wanting to try my hand at a fluke so I may try that as well.
  3. I visited their website on my phone and it wouldn't let me put anything in the cart....not sure what I was doing wrong. Anyone else have any problems? I sure like their prices and would like to order from them.
  4. So let's say you are going to take your brother or buddy out fishing and although he enjoys fishing it's not a big deal to him and you want to have a good time with him, so although you would like for him to catch a nice bass you would rather catch numbers, what would be your go to bait for lots of bass?? Probably be fishing ponds or small lakes either from the bank or canoe, oklahoma dirty or stained water, post spawn. My 1st thoughts is Ned rig....suggestions??
  5. I'm a service tech for a company called Water Processing. I drive a service van and install/ service/ and sale reverse osmosis (drinking water) systems and soft water systems for residential, commercial and industrial use.
  6. I took this pic about 10 min ago of a running (go figure) roadrunner. That's why it's blurry. Them dudes are as fast as they're advertised!
  7. I guess a lot of it depends on where you live. I've never seen a mountain lion in the wild but I've seen so many roadrunners I get tired of looking at them.
  8. This should be an interesting topic. Can't wait to hear everyones opinion....
  9. WRB, are you literally a storehouse full of bass fishing information?? It's like every time I read one of your post I'm just, wow, so much knowledge.....
  10. We'll good luck to ya! Maybe if I'm in that area sometime we can get together and do some fishing.
  11. I'm hearing a lot about Costas, but I just hate to shell that kinda dough for some shades! But I hear they are super comfortable, and have a great warranty so....
  12. Welcome! I used to live around there. You ever fish Beggs lake? That's where my parents live now and when I go to visit I'd like to try it out.
  13. Another good video, thanks!
  14. My buddy has a couple pairs of Costas that he swears by. May have to look at getting me a pair sometime.
  15. Just wondering what your favorite brand of polarized sunglasses is for the money and quality. And what's their price range and your favorite lense color?
  16. Yeah! Thankfully we were in a boat so that did make me feel better.....
  17. I was fishing in lake Allen Henry (west Texas) 2 years ago about this time and we were working along a bank. The bank was steep and rocky, and when I look up there is bobcat just staring at us maybe 30 to 40 yards away. He just turned and silently slinked off. Pretty neat.
  18. I'm not a kayak angler but I bought the BPS extreme qualifier 360 tackle bag on sale here while back and I like it good. I figure it would fit on your kayak. It's not huge but holds quite a bit of stuff and it has good reviews on their website.
  19. Gotcha. Thanks for all the input!!
  20. Okay so obviously some if yall think I'm smoking dope or something but I promise you bass pro sold those at one time. They had one of those screens set up at the end of an isle that showed guys catching fish on them and they told how they worked. I found a video of them. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever used them. I used them them when I was like 12 but haven't really seen them since then. I'm not saying they are the best or whatever, just was wondering.
  21. This thread is slowing dying without us ever knowing what became of Stephens I phone 7+.......
  22. So when I was a kid I liked to fish but didn't know squat about different techniques or methods and all that. Mostly just threw rooster tails, little spinners and the like. I was at bass pro one day when I seen an advertisement for wobble heads. They looked cool so I bought some along with a package of worms the right length. The neighbors pond I tried it out on produced good results, catching me fish bigger than I was used to. It quickly became one of my favorites. Those wobble heads are long gone now and I don't really hear much about them. I mostly hear about shaky heads, which look quite a bit different than what I used. So my question are: 1. Are shaky heads the equivalent to wobble heads? 2. Do any of yall use wobble heads? 3. If you do use them what's your thoughts on them and how do you like to use them? These are what the wobble heads I used look like.
  23. Okay I Googled Sluggo bass lure and now I know what it is but somebody needs to tell me how to fish it!!
  24. Okay I'm going to say it.....wait, what is that??
  25. I don't guess I've ever seen a lake frozen over. Ponds, yes. Creeks, yes. But a whole lake?!? I may have to travel up north some day to witness this rare and amazing spectacle called a "frozen lake" lol. For reals though that must be sad. Although with were I live now I have to travel to get to a lake. So what's worse, no lake or frozen lake?!?
