  1. Wish you were with me for that one haha. This was the first time I've ever had to pick one out, normally they come out pretty easily but I spent probably 45mins on this one before I gave up.
  2. Don't worry Glenn, I've already watched this vid
  3. Just did that and it worked perfect. Thanks
  4. The reason my spool is so low right now is because of a monster birds nest that I had to cut out... I don't have a ton of line left on my main spool. I already have mono backing on this spool. Do it anyway?
  5. Wanted to know if this spool is underfilled and if so, how should I add more line because it is not connected to the main spool of line anymore.
  6. True. I'm also curious whether I should right up on shore or offshore and how to determine that.
  7. Like the title says. Thanks!
  8. My area has relatively clear water but it fluctuates a lot. If it rains even at all the water turns to chocolate milk but other than that it's about 4-7 feet of visibility. In another lake near me, the visibility is probably 15 feet but that lake is extremely tough. The fish there super finicky and it seems like the only thing they want to eat is a popper in the evenings.
  9. @A-Jay Makes sense, thanks. In my local lake, the fishing is pretty weird at times. One minute they smash a buzz-bait in the morning then 20 minutes later they don't eat anything. I have also never caught a fish on a hard bait in that lake, only spinnerbaits and senkos. Do you think the jerkbait will coax them into biting more than say a crank would? There is mostly largemouth in the lake so does the same principle apply for keeping the bait above them?
  10. Sounds great! Yeah, I just picked up one today to try out and it looks good. I mostly fish from the bank so do you think the deep diver version will be worth it?
  11. I want to get more into jerkbaits this year and was wondering what everyone's opinions are on the Strike King KVD jerkbait? Worth the buy? Does it suspend well? Quality for the price? Maybe another jerkbait that you like more? Etc. Thanks
  12. I am using 4in tubes
  13. I'm definitely going to check those out! They look really good and I like the 90* line tie. I just bought some KVD ones because I needed them for today but once I get done with those, these will be ordered immediately.
  14. Like the title says, any suggestions? I'm looking for something relatively light, in the 1/8 ounce range because I will be using it for finesse presentations. Thanks.

  16. The backlash is at the beginning. And yeah, I'd say about 85-90% of my spool is full.
  17. I am using Sunline Super FC as my line and an Okuma Cerros reel. My bait that I was using yesterday was 1/2 ounce. I haven't been able to find any sort of internal braking, only a knob on the side.
  18. Do I just apply it to the surface when my reel is spooled or will i have to take some line out and get under there a little bit?
  19. Do you need to use line conditioner every time you go out or is it just a one-time thing?
  20. Yesterday I put new fluoro on my brand new cranking combo and had a lot of trouble casting with it. I felt like I would always birds next no matter how much tension and braking I used. It even got so bad that I had to cut out a birds nest. Any tips? Thanks.
  21. I am getting 40% off any Okuma Rod and Reel and I'm thinking I'm gonna buy the Cerros and the EVX rod. Are they quality rods? I used them on a guided trip and they felt amazing for the low price. Just wanted to hear anyone's experience with Okuma whether good or bad. Thanks.

Caught this lure at my local lake on a snag and was wondering what it was. Thanks!
  23. Watched a brand new spinnerbait sail away on the first cast of the day because of a backlash...
  24. You can look at the Deeper Smart Sonar. It's a portable fish finder and you can either attach it to the side of a boat and the data goes straight to your smartphone or you could cast it out from shore. It's pretty awesome and cheaper compared to other fish finders at $119.99.
