  1. A bunch of us went up to Potter County last weekend. We had all Saturday to fish. We started at 9, went home at dark. Both my dad and I had our limit of trout, about a dozen perch, and some bluegills. The other guys had caught about 7 or so pickeral. The biggest was I think 22. We had caught most all of them in the last 2 hours of light.
  2. I went fishing on friday, the 19th. I caught my first smallmouth at about 4:30. It was close to 13 inches. No pictures because I forgot my camera, was in to much of a hurry. It was also the first fish on one of the jigs that I made. It was a black jig.
  3. I have just started making my own bucktail jigs. I favor the color black/blue, black/orange, and chartreuse.
  4. I'v been having a little trouble finding some smallies right now. I'v tried tubes, senkos, crankbait, and just can't find any. Does anybody have any advice?
  5. When i fish the crick by my house in the summer, all we use is senkos. We did exceptionaly well this year. Our biggest between my dad and i was about 18 inches, 2.5 pounds. In one night we caught 24 smallies combined in about two hours, most were 12 to 15 inches, ALL ON SENKOS, so yeah, i'd say they work. We used Kinami Flash, 4 inch, natural shad or junebug. We also do good in the river to.
  6. Welcome, I am new too. I just got on about two weeks ago.
  7. I think it causes too much vibration, so i just sing it in my head.
  8. Yeah, I was talking about inches not pounds. And that would be a huge trout.
  9. My dad and I took a trip to Little Buffalo on Sunday. We fished from about 3 until dark. we used meal worms. I caught 3, the limit, my dad cought 1. My biggest was 11 and 3 quarters. It was cold enough for the Carharts.
  10. I have been debating wether to buy a Pfluger Summit baitcasting reel or not. What's your opinion about it?
  11. Ha, Ha, ;D, I never new batting penguins was so fun!!!!! My best was 289.4.
  12. Ok, I'll have to try that, thanks.

HI, I am new to the site. I was wondering what everybody shot during deer season.
  15. Ok, well, the depth is about 3 feet, temp is about, well I dont know. The ice is just starting to form on the banks. And I am not sure what for baitfish there are, but there are smallies, rockbass, fallfish, pickeral. I cought the rock bass on a pumpkin colored quarter ounce jig, bitsy bug to be exact.
  16. Merry Christmas to you too, I would rather have a Triton or a Bass tracker though. ;D
  17. I need some help, the last 3 times I was out I didn't catch a thing, except for a rockbass. What am I doing wrong?
  18. Hey, ya do whatever ya have to do to go fishing.

  21. Hello everybody, I am new to the board. My name is Ian Collins(kikasscountryboy). I am 15, and I love fishing. I have been on this site all the time but just now registered. I am basser89's stepbrother. I am from Juniata County Pennsylvania. I have fished tha Juniata River and the Tuscaroara creek for a few years now. I have also fished a great number of lakes such as Gofford Pinchot, F.J. Sayers, Meadowgrounds, and Marburg. I have fished scinced I was able to pick up a rod, but have really been gettin' into it these past few years. Some of my favorite tackle includes Ambassedeur, Diawa, and Pfluger reels. I fish for just about everything that swims, but have mostly been concentrating on bass and muskies. My pb for bass is a 5 and a half pounds, and e gestimate of about 22 inches. It was a smallmouth. And my pb for muskie is 12.2 pound, 36 inches. And dont underestimate small creeks. The Tuscaroara creek averages 2-3 feet, with some spots as deep as 5 or so, and its about 10-20 yards wide. During the summer, I fish this creek all the time. I have pulled smallies as big as 18 inches and 2.5 pounds out of there. I like hunting also, but I am better at fishing. Ive got some fishing to do, so see ya later!!!
