WOW ! I have seen ice storms, and thats about as bad as they get. That looks like a good one. Up here theres ice on limbs and all, but it isn't quite that bad. Looks like it should be fun to clean up!

Was wonderin what yall are doin in this weather were having up here around PA? Where I am, right now, it's 27 degrees, sleeting, and theres 2 inches of snow on the ground. No back roads are plowed. I was out with the buddies tearin up the trails with the four-wheelers. It is FUN! ;D I hope it keeps sleeting, and if it freezes we will have off school again.

From what you said, it sounds like your fishing a body of water like the one I regularly fish. I 100% agree with TubeBaitKing about light line and finesse lures. I found that tubes, wooly hawgtails, and 4 inch lizards work well in the summer. A lot of times you can catch them on just a 2 inch chunk of any worm. About this time of the year where I am at, I am using My homemade bucktail jigs, jerkbaits ( both hard and soft), traps and crankbaits. I have noticed that the smallies in large streams are very fragile, I always release them as soon as I can. Have fun!

I love Blue Tick Hounds. I have always wanted one and now I found one, but how do I convince my parents to let me have it. The money is no problem, they want $25 for it. My birthday is on the 30 of this month, I figured I could use this to my advantage. Any other Ideas that might work? Thanks!

My girlfriend isn't as into it as I am but she loves to go. She came with me on an all day wading trip for smallies but she didn't want to fish, she just wanted to watch me, now tell me that isn't love. She likes fishing, just not as much as I do. A lot of times SHE is telling me to GO fishing! She also wants to come on tournaments with me. I couldn't have found a better girl!

I don't care what nobody says, new country music is the best! Tell me how Inernational Harvester isn't country? I tell more later, gotta pick up my girlfriend.

I hate them fallfish. Up here there as common as a bird. Some times you think you have a good smallie on, then you pull up a 20 inch fallfish. They make good coon bait and catfish bait though. ;D

I hate knee problems to the fullest! > I just tore up the ligaments in the back of my knee last night playin vollyball, yeah go figure. :-? Also the same knee that put me on the injured list during football twice! I was gonna go huntin tommorrow, but no, doc said I can't. :'( I can't even put pressure on it, let alone straighten it or bend it. I got to go have an mri at the hospital tommorrow, sucks, well, at least my girlfriend is commin along, so that'll make things a whole lot better. Sorry, had to vent a little.

I would agree with ya hookemdown, but just the other day my dad rattled in an 8 point. About now your huntin in a t-shirt! Had to drag a doe up over the moutain yeaterday, HOT!!! I was soaked till we got to the truck. The smallies around here are really hittin hard right after dark.

I just seen him for the first time tonight. My girlfriend told me about him, but he was never on till tonight. We watched the whole episode. It was some of the best comedy i've seen, and i've seen a lot.

This site is the only reason I wanted a computer. This site is the best there is, I can't see how I would be able to fish as good as I do now if I wouldn't had found this site. I was in school, the only part about 5th grade that I remember to be exact( i'm a junior in high school now). I remember it all though. I was in reading class, the teacher was talking to the principle in the hall, she comes in and says (and these are her exact words) " Kids, I have some very terrible news, if you don't want to hear it from me, you can go to the hall for a minute", I stayed cause I was like, what the heck is going on, then she said, " The twin towers were just struck by terrorists". She then turned on the t.v. and thats when the second plane hit. What has the world come too? GOD BLESS AMERICA

Just got back from the best fair in Pennsylvania ;D, no really, I did.For those of you who don't know what it is, heres a rundown. This year was the 153rd annual Juniata County Fair. With the best dirt track racing (sprint, late models, pro stocks, and powderpuff cars) it is one of the only fairs of its kind. It drags in people from Wisconson, Kentucky, and New York. Tonight was the Tuscaroara 50, a 50 lap sprint car race. We fill up the pits, the old grandstands, and the new grandstands, every year. With tons of games, food, and rides, you'll never get bored. Although tonight was the last night, there is always next year. I'm here to tell ya, if you are located close to Juniata County P.A., I encourage you to come next year. It runs a whole week, starts the first Saturday in September.

I was hesitant whether to go down to the crick after some smallies after school cause it was hot, like 92. About 6 I decided what the heck, I threw a pack of brown/black flake tubes in my pocket and took off. I started by fishing a fast moving area about 1 1/2 foot deep. Pulled a 13 incher outa there. Then I moved down to the big hole, it's about 15 yards across the crick, but it reaches 5 foot or so. I pitched the tube back under a bush on the other side BAM, thought he was good till i seen it was an 18 inch fallfish. About half a dozen casts later, I toss the tube back under another bush BAM. I set the hook, she started runnin, thats when I knew she was a good one. She jumped and I could tell imediatly she was the biggest one i've pulled out of the crick, ever. Got her in lipped her and got out the camera. She went 19 inches, pretty close 4 pound. I was excited, as some would call me, Ike ;D. They call me that cause I really get excited when i'm catchin a lot or a big one. I fished my way around to the other side of the island. It hadn't been a real good hole till now. First cast was parallel a fallen tree in 3 1/2 foot of water, bout 5 inchers left of it. Soon as the tube hit the bottom, WHAM. Another nice one, she went 17 inches 2 1/2 pound. But what you gotta remember is that this crick is small. Of what I recall, the widest spot i've seen is maybe 25 or 30 yards, many places where we catch 'em are around 8 to 10 yards across. Some holes reach 8 to 10 foot deep also.

1. Central and southern Pennsylvania. 2. Depends on place but usually 3-7. 3. 3/4- 1/2 pounds. 4. 8-15 inches. 5. 4 and 1/4 pound, also a few 3's. The lakes up here are pressured, and I try to enforce catch and release, but it's not making a difference. In fact, the top five bass i've caught this year, came from lakes smaller than 60 acres.
