  3. I 'm experiencing technical difficulties lol to get pics posted but my biggest 6.2 & 6.5 came on back to back casts on a strike king goby. cheers
  4. As per usual I always tie up all my rods the night before a derby, was happy when I finished that job. Crashed and slept like a baby. We put in at 7am & we're all set to go but all my rods were left in our room 30 miles away. OMG we laughed all day about that as I fished with his rods & caught the lions share of the fish we weighed in. That was day 1 nothing out of the ordinary day 2 and we finished in the top ten. & we're smiling all the way to the bank. Don't sweat the small stuff, cheers Fred

  14. I agree with IndianaFinesse 100 % expesially if I'm not fishing with the proper rig as you stated. My friend would of given me the proper rigging to use for whatever presentation. Heck he would of given me a rod pre rigged to use , we have always wanted each other to do well. But the bent rod fish locating is IMHO for lousy fisherman. Countless times we just reel up and leave and we hunt down more fish & it makes us better as we just add more spots to our data base for derby days. ? Thats my 5 cents worth Cheers
  15. Ice out is weeks away so I have plenty of time to tie retie and go through all my baits again and again :-)) Fred
  16. Nice memories that last a life time cool
  17. I have to laugh We get over 3.5' of ice every winter, so the ice out is a cause to celebrate & get out fishing. Natural selection happens every year hear with hypothermia taking fisherman that drink & manage to end up in the lake. They last about 5 a 10 minutes in both May & June. So be careful when open water happens cheers Fred
  18. I use a plethora of spinning reels so when I go to a bait caster all he** breaks loose lol I'm trying to get better at using bait casters. cheers you are not alone
