Good basic color recommendation? Bout like a spook, one bone, one shiny, maybe one black? I have one in the "I know it" color that I found on a closeout rack at a local store for cheap. Well, looks like Sabine is being postponed due to rising water forecast. No clear date yet for when the tourney will start - might be next week, could be longer. Also - Mark Davis is out for the season to have a hip replacement done.

You could always hit up local consignment shops or garage sales and find a cheap pull-behind kid trailer, and modify to fit your needs. I think I sold my trailer at the last garage sale for $15. It was near $100 new, so used is the ticket.

Yeah, most likely the seller knew nothing about it. I've had that happen to my account before - all of a sudden I started getting emails that people had bought something I had for sale, but I hadn't listed anything for sale. I contacted Ebay and they killed it and made me go through some kind of training thing about keeping my login info safe before they would set my account back to active. Who knew that "password1234" wasn't a safe password? :-)

The WT's have a very big wobble, and my experience was throwing a 6.5 and an 8.5. They must displace a lot of water with that movement. I had trouble with the 8.5 on a 6.4:1 reel - especially when my front-seater was on the trolling motor, it seemed like it was just too fast for the bait and it would "loop" itself out, invert and - pop- strait up to the top. I didn't have any 5-speed reels with me that day, but I plan on trying it again soon on a slower reel, if nothing else just to rule it out and get it out of my crankbait tray. Dicks is having a flash sale today - not much really to look at. While I haven't seen an Easter discount from Tackle Warehouse, Ebay and another site are running coupons.

Easiest way I find is just type "powerbait" into the search bar. You do get a few things that don't have the rebate, and appears none of the MaxScent stuff is involved.

I'd hold off til later in the week - typically sales are tied to holidays, and with Easter this coming weekend, they might put something out there. But, if not, I think they usually have a "tax stimulus" sale mid-April.

Ended up with Lee, Martens and Pace paying off pretty decently today - esp with all 3 having <10% ownership percentages. Jordan was 5% ownership? That was too good to pass up. Hartman tanked me, and Faircloth was picked based on a couple of pundit picks. My 2 highest owned pros are the ones that didn't make the cut.

Agreed they should foot the bill for shipping and duke it out with their shipper - I had 2 rods show up broken from Dick's on the same day. I called Customer service and they were creating me a shipping label for the return process before I asked if I could just order 2 more rods at the Flash Sale price (which was no longer happening) and return the broken ones to my local store and handle the refund there in person. The CS rep put me on a series of holds, and came back with approval to do that - she had to go to bat to get me the former sale pricing. For the Record - the 6' 10" Lews Carbon Fire M/F is a great all rounder for pond hopping - loads nice with little poppers and lipless, smaller jerkbait etc. At $79 retail I'd probably buy another - but finding it on flash sale for $39 was awesome. Should have bought 2.

Know how bad my monkey is? He's impatient. I started the eBay notification today, walked into one of my local tackle shops just a few minutes ago to feel the backbone on a Dobyns mag heavy. Walked out with the rod at full retail, cause I can't say no.

Max discount of $100 vs. the standard $50. I added random stuff from random sellers to the cart and it applied the discount to my cart total. Tatula SV for $103??? Do I need it? Tatula CT Type R for $82? Sheesh. Or 2 Fuego CT's for $112?

Randomly decided to try a SPRO Little John MD @ Academy last week. Found the receipt last night and noticed it had rung up @ $4.89 reg price. Went back today to grab a few more - they had caught the mispricing. Wish I had paid more attention last week.

Both my local WM's restructured their sporting good sections in the past couple months - have barely seen a clearance tag since. But, In my area, they're probably trying to not compete with Academy, Dicks and the 2 very well stocked tackle shops. I still try to give a good bit of my bait monkey money to the local shops when I can.
