Gear Ratios
I like 7 for soft plastics because I can take up like relatively quick compared to a 6, ill even use an 8 if I'm fishing from shore. I like 6 for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swimbaits, cranking. I tend to have a med/fast retrieve naturally so I like a slower gear to keep my moving baits at a good rate in which I retrieve them. YMMV

When do weeds get too thick for bass?
I've fished rice lake before, weeds are a problem, but like everyone else said, find sunken structure and drop offs, heavy weight and pitching is the key to catching them!

What Is Your Strangest, Unintended Catch
Caught on two separate occasions, carp dragging a black and blue jig on the bottom.

Quantum Pulse Baitcasting Combo??
If it feels good to you give it a shot, its not like you'll be dropping 100 bucks on it so if you can get 1-2 full seasons out of it I call that a win

Looking for a sub 250 USD reel for frogging and pitching
Quantum smoke speed freak! 8.1:1 gear ratio 35 IPT 170 yards of 30lb braid And here's the kicker 25LB of drag!!! The reel is a monster, I have the 8.1:1 and the 6.3:1 and they are butter smooth, feels very solid and this reel can out cast anything I've ever picked up and tossed, beat my curado and citica, tatula type r, tatula HD, Lews bb1 pro, daiwa costal. It is definitely something to consider and its at a great price point

Chronarch CI4+ vs Curado K
I had a buddy of mine try and convince me to getting that reel a while back. What's the difference between that and the US model? Is it really worth that much more over the US model?

Chronarch CI4+ vs Curado K
I want something that is worth the price tag and going to last mechanically. I understand that the chronarch is a 350 dollar reel (canadian) and the new curado is a 250 reel, but if I can get the chronarch for the same price is that the better purchase? I've played with both and they feel as smooth. Just looking for opinions.

Chronarch CI4+ vs Curado K
So I'm looking to get my 3rd shimano reel, but can't decide on which to choose, I can get either the curado k for 250 canadian or the chronarch ci4+ for the same price. What do you guys think will hold up better down the road? I know the curado K is still new and hard to tell the longevity of it but I'm sure its going to hold up relatively on par with the older curaodos... Right? I really just want advice on what's the better reel, I'm open to any other suggestions as well. I'm a big quantum guy and have 6 of their reels. I like shimano because its something different, and has a good rep.

Daiwa Ardito vs Fenwick Methods
I've actually got to check out both, the methods is a nice rod, guides are aligned up nicely, grip feels solid, feels like a sensitive rod even for a 3 piece. My buddy bought the ardito... Guides inserts were not set in properly, nor were they aligned properly. His first cast he lost his favourite jerkbait due to the guides cutting his line. Hes returning it and of he can get a full refund he's going with the methods.

Daiwa lexa, 15 freams or BG? Can't decide
So I'm considering a new spinning reel, I like how my buddies fuagofeels but wanted a little upgrade. What would y'all recommend between the daiwa lexa, 15 freams and BG? Going to be a bass reel for mostly soft plastics.

Shimano Grappler reel
Really interested in getting a JDM reel, wasn't looking to drop a ton of money and I stumbled upon the grappler at the bay, not much on the web review wise so I was hoping someone here could point out some features of this reel. Interested in knowing if there are any external breaks, doesn't look like it from pictures online.
