  1. I´ve allways been a Strike king kvd 1.5 and Storm Arashi guy but lately i´ve been having a blast with these guys: Sakura Bomba Cranks! They do have rattles, great paintjobs, decente hooks and a great swimming action... plus, the price is very nice!
  2. Texas rig! I have plenty other techniques in wich i have confidence but at the end of the day the T-rig is allways the one i like the most, with jigs being a close second, there´s nothing better for me like feeling a bite and setting the hook...
  3. The Orra Winch, that´s what it was made for...
  4. I rarely fish small ponds because the ones around my area are all highly pressured and heavely fished, beside that i´ve allways been more of a lakes and rivers guy. Butt wen i do make a small 2/3 hours session on one of them i allways find myself trowing the same things... a Zoom Fat Albert Grub on a 3/8oz jig head and/or a Zoom finesse worm/Zoom Ultravibe speed craw on a T-rig! It may lead me to a dink fest kinda session most off the times butt i rarely get skunked and sometimes i do manage to trick a fattie...
  5. Thank you! It´s just one of those things i´ve never really set my mind to give it a try and latter in the off season got me thinking... why not?
  6. Drop-shot! Never used it till this day but decided to give it a shot this year... see how it goes.
  7. I cannot give you a comparison to the Curado 70 because i haven´t fished the Curado yet, but what i can tell you is that my two Ci4+, after almost 3 years of intensive use, are still performing flawlessly! And yes, i´ve used them in saltwater in a few ocasions without any problem, although i´ve read that there where a few cases of spools being corroted i haven´t experienced that in any of mine, i do washed them after use in the salt tough...
  8. I have a few rods that can handle the A-rig, normally i choose the combo that better matches the A-rig that i pretende to use and the way i pretend to fish it (weight and speed of recovery). For smaller and lighter A-rigs i normally use a Colmic Herakles Cálida 7.2" X-Heavy, moderate fast action (1/2-3oz) paired with a Abu Garcia Gen 2 Revo Winch 5.4:1 or a St. Croix Mojo Bass 7.4" Heavy fast action (3/8- 1 1/2oz) paired with a Lews Super Duty 6.4:1. For heavier A-rigs i use two Colmic Herakles Cálida Big Bait 7.3" X-Heavy moderate fast action (1-5oz), one paired with a Shimano Curado 201DPV 5.0:1 and the other with a Daiwa Lexa 300 7.1:1. In therms of line i have 15 pound fluorocarbon (Seaguar InvizX) on the Revo Winch and the Super Duty, 20 pound flurocarbon on the Curado (also InvizX) and 20 pound mono (Berkley Big Game) on the Lexa. I Know most guys like to use longer rods for longer casts but since i fish from a small boat i prefere rods bellow the 7.5" mark.
  9. Pretty much the only ones i use! Love the action and the vast range of colors they offer.
  10. Thanks for the welcome everybody! Hello 12poundbass, yes there are bass in Portugal! The Portuguese record, wich is also the European record, is 4,750kg (10.5 pounds more and less)!
  11. Hello everybody, long time reader of this forum finally decided to take the plunge and join this community! Bass fisherman since i can remember, i'm hoping to show you guys a little bit of some different places and fish species, besides our beloved Largemouth, that what you guys are used to see! Greetings from the other side of the Atlantic! PS- Sorry for the very short introduction and for some eventual grammatical errors, now and in the future, but English is just my third language...
