If this lake is over 25 years old, I think it will fall under the Wetlands Act. This being the case you would want to contact the DNR. It only takes on plant at the end of the lake like a ( Cattail Plant ) and I promisse you it will be fixed back to its normal state. I am assuming all states are the same when it comes to wetlands. This happend just two months ago in my town and the owner had to restore it and restock it. 8-) Also I think there is money available through the Fed. for this.

I had the same problem on a 200 merc after having it in the shop. So I took the lower unit off myself 3 times, I would put it back together just like I took it apart. Always the same problem, then I looked real close and notice the gasket on the water pump housing. This gasket can be put on backwards. The best way to describe this to you is to take it apart and look at the gasket. you will see a big hole and a small hole. Whan you put it back on, look in the little hole and make sure it is inline with the small hole. If not just flip the gasket over. What happens when it is installed wrong you will get some water pressure but not enough. 8-)

Hey Wayne P. I got 4 lower units last year and my insurance was great. After the third one they dropped me. So I called the head office an told them that I wasn't doing this on purpose and they reinstated me. I took a higher deductable and my rates came down. : I don't think I can name their name on here but they go by the initials FBI. I'am not saying that all insurance co. are like this but mine did. 8-) I have a merc. and sometimes I think they are using cheap materials. Three of those times,you would'nt have even thought anything about it. I just kind of bump a stump and there went the lower unit. :-/

Use crankbaits all year! Might change presentation a little and type of crank but I fish them all year and catch fish. 8-)

When you take off you want the motor trimed all the way down. Once the boat plans off ( this will probbly be with the throttle all the way down or if you have a foot pedal all the way to the floor) the boat will be running flat in the water. Ok it is time to start trimming your motor up, you will see the front of the boat start to rise and your speed will pick up. Trim it up untill you reach max RPM or where you can steer it the easiest. This will take a little getting use to put you will find the wright place to trim to. Oh yea what size motor and kind of boat do you have? If it's a 300 hp, put your life vest on, hookup kill switch and hang on. ;D

I would never wet a hook without putting my touch on it. It just seems like I have more hookups when I fine tune them. I have got to the point were I just give the rod taut pull and I GOTTYA. 8-)

First thing to do is look under the dash and you will see a small black tube running to the center of the speedometer, unhook this tube and tie a knot in it. Then take a weekend off and wash and wax this boat like you have never done before. I guarantee you it will run faster the next time you take her out. Goahead try it you will be surprised. 8-)

Not only to you have to carrie Ins. You have to sign a wavier for whoever is putting on the tournament so as to release thim from any liability. I also have my draw partner to sign a wavier for me also. This is to protect my famly in the event we were to have an accident that were to cause the death of both of us. I talked to an attorney for a while on this and he said that neither of the waviers might not holdup in court. :-?

Hmmm I might, then again I don't know if I can or if I have the time and experience. However I do buy alot on old lures and such, and I have some books on antique lures and reels. But when I buy old lures etc. I pay what I feel they are worth to me. I'am not sure this would lead you in the right direction.
