I was in Wal-Mart buying a large bag of Purina for my dog Lola - and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog........ Duh! I was feeling a bit crabby so on impulse, I told her no, I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care unit with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms. Her eyes about bugged out of her head. I went on and on with the bogus diet story and she was totally buying it. I told her that it was an easy, inexpensive diet and that the way it works is to load your pockets or purse with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The package said the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her. Horrified, she asked if something in the dog food had poisoned me and was that why I ended up in the hospital? I said no.....I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt when a car hit me. I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door. ;D

Hmmm sounds good, just have one problem. No chorizo, jalapena or spanish onions. Hispanic's moved into NC can't get my hands on any of the items. ;D

It will vary, it could be anywere from 5% to 25%. I have been offered a 25% but sponsors just ain't my thing. If you are trying to make a living fishing then sponsors are great. I found when I had sponsors that when I did'nt do good in a tournament it put a lot of undew pressure on me and I enjoy fishing to much. I have been very blessed to be able to carrie my on. However I still try to represent the boat,motor and baits I use. Well I could go on for ever on this subject but I have got to turn it in. Best of luck to you. 8-)

Fished a tournament on Gaston Lake NC Saturday. When they called my number I headed up the lake for about 15 miles then I hit a whiteout. No warnings or nothing. In about thirty seconds my boat was covered in snow. I had to seek shelter for a hour and then the sun came out and it hit 55 degrees. So I went back to fishing just to lose that tournament too. ;D

Glenn I noticed tha when you guys were on your Fork trip the site worked very well. It was very fast. Have any ideas why?

They will put you on the pro team and give you a discount on the boat. You will have to attend their work shops and boat shows etc. The next question can be indepth, like are you good enough to be on the pro team? What do you have to offer the company you contact? There is a lot to consider before being on a pro team. I look at it like this, if you represent your sport well and buildup a good reputation you won't have to ask for sponsorship, they will ask you! Also JT Bagwell can tell you all about this, I think he has a lot of sponsors.

I use the Sambo. This is a 1oz bottom weight with ring on top. I add a snap to the ring and you have the best lure retriver none to man for .50 cents. I make me up about five of them and keep them in the boat. when I get hung I just add one to the line and if that don't work I'll add another till my bait comes lose But will not work from the bank. The Sambo part is something we came up with. 8-)

Hooo you like to catch Bowfin do ya, well just come on down to eastern NC and I can put you on all you want. You can catch as many as you want in the 1-12lb class any time, any day don't care what the weather is like. I can honestly say I am a Professional Bowfin Punter. All you have to do is put a little garlic spray on a baby brush hog and hold on. Man I was fishing a tournament on the Roanoke river and my draw partner from Virginia ( I think he said he was the boss of one of those Nuk Sub in Norfork) well I heard him hollow get the net I've got a big bass, so I grabed the net and ran to the back of the boat just to see a small bowfin. Well I went back up front and started fishing when I heard oh oh oh when I looked back he had put his finger in the fishs mouth and that bowfin was chewing on his finger like a dog on a bone. I had to bite a hole in my d**n lip to keep from laughing. ;D Long story short I had to carrie him to the hospital to get his finger fixed. 8-)
