  1. Cant beat a curly tail grub or a inline spinner. Atleast not in the rivers I have fished
  2. I had a ruger lc9 and really liked it. Also had a lc9s and didn't like it as much. It's the same gun but no safety.
  3. About ten years ago I was trout fishing a small lake with my dad. The lake is catch and release only for bass so it has some big ones. They were on beds and he was reeling in a small stock trout and a bass grabbed it right off the bank. Stripped some line out then let go. Good story thanks for sharing.
  4. I fished my first tournament this past Friday night. A 6pm to midnight open tournament they hold weekly. Only 16 boats entered. I had 6 pounds by 7pm and thought I was in business. Couldn't catch another keeper the rest of the night. It was a slow night for everyone though. Winning weight was only 10 3/4 pounds. He also had big largemouth and big smallmouth too. Definitely fun and I see more in my future.
  5. Congrats. Very nice boat enjoy it.
  6. Good tip. Never even thought of doing something like that before.
  7. I thought you was some hardcore croaker fisherman lol. Mine is my last name and the year I was born.
  8. I switch my spinning reels and reel them with my right hand to. It's just always been more comfortable to me to hold the rod in my left hand and reel with my right whether it's a spinning rod or a bait caster.

Here I see the only one I've taken a picture of so far. It's a green pumpkin and I believe the other color is candy craw.
  10. 1997 18ft nitro with a 150. Not my truck or tractor lol
  11. Whatever you do don't ask them if they want to reel one in after you hook it.
  12. Definitely al Linder or hank Parker.
  13. Try a drop shot with a robo worm on it. This is my go to when it gets tough. Then slow it way down and like others have said the ones you can't see are a lot easier to catch.
  14. Hello and welcome.
  15. Yep warm up the frying pan and bring some home for dinner. If you put the crappie in check the bass may be able to make a comeback.
  16. Blue Basser do you only throw it in the spring? I had thought about trying one but wasn't sure if it would only be good for spring fishing since that's when most baby ducks are on the water.
  17. Congrats and go mountaineers
  18. Wait until the end of December and use Christmas trees. The dnr used to do that in a few local lakes here but I don't think they do anymore.
  19. What about just getting a good cover for it for now. Then building a carport or adding on to your garage?
  20. If your there early try some topwater since it's so shallow. If that doesn't work try a drop shot.
  21. What made lowrance the victor for you?
