Use a straight retrieve in murky water. The Jackall Smash Minnow has pretty loud rattles and works well in murky water.

Right now Tiemco and Nories. I have a new favorite every couple of outings. Nories Double Full Size. Tiemco Diving Pepper.

Fat Ika's, Jigs, Jerkbaits, Swimbaits, Spinnerbaits and even topwaters.

I've never had an LC or any other lure break without it beeing my own fault. If you're casting into nasty places you're gonna get a broken lure sooner or later. If you don't, you're not fishing in the right spots.
