She put up a great fight! Jumped twice completely out of the water. It's a post spawn fish for sure, pre spawn fish of that size look like this around here. Caught her in deep water, bass are done spawning for a while now.

I really like it fishinfiend! Plenty of power. The rod is rated up to 4oz. but easily casts 5oz. I just wish the split grip was a bit longer.

I agree Matt, must be an old lady! At least she spawned this year looking at the tail.

It took me a long time to get a bass with the 3:16 wake jr. but it was a good one (post spawn fish)! Don't know how much it weighed but my guess is about 7.5lbs. What do you guys think? I have had alot followers and also hooked some fish but they all came unbuttoned. This is by far the biggest I have hooked and thank god it was hooked well! 8-)

I don't want to be rude but I don't like the mattlures soft swimbaits at all. Sorry matt! There are much better soft swimbaits out there. One of my favorite is the baitsmith. Always runs straight and I prefer it over the 6" hudd. Also good but way too expensive is the imakatsu huddle swimmer. If you want something small for a slow retrieve, the huddleston shad is great. I got most strikes pitching this bait into cover/docks like a jig. For a very slow retrieve the flt goo goo bream works well. Also too expensive IMHO.

Hi guys! Haven't been posting for a while, too busy fishing! Have caught well over 100 so far. Here some pics. Average size. Nasty weather.... Some better fish. Caught with a Sebile Magic Swimmer 165. Surprise catch. PB 2009. Good jig fish from sunday. Hope you're catching some! TL

Susky, you're right, they are 2 different species. With what bait did you're buddy catch the chub?

x2 You must have bought the baby version. I just got a bag of the 5" and the bait is alot bulker than the ugly otter. I'm going to try this thing on the weekend.
