  1. Not sure how small you are looking for but I have had a great time fishing the small swimbaits from Mule Fishing and Moondog baits. Small companies that make baits for just this sort of application
  2. I have used Moondog Baits swim jigs and I really like them. They get down to 1/16 and 1/8 oz. They usually don't have a bait keeper on their hooks so usually have to glue your baits on.
  3. I have the Cashion 6'10" and the 7'0" and I really like them both. The 7'0" is great with moving baits and the other I use for soft plastics. Both of them have been a lot of fun to fish with
  4. I started throwing these last year. They are a lot of fun to fish. Been using a Mule Fishing Burro Bug as a trailer with good results. They catch everything! Last fall I caught a big (to me) walleye on one! Didn't even know the lake I was one had walleye in it!
  5. I like these https://venomlures.com/collections/jig-heads/products/tube-jig-heads-60-blk-nickle-hk
  6. Am I reading this correctly? Is another company buying GSM Outdoors? Seems strange to me https://www.platinumequity.com/news/platinum-equity-to-acquire-gsm-outdoors/#:~:text=LOS ANGELES (July 23%2C 2024,be completed in Q3 2024.
  7. 4" Berkley Power Worm- Motor Oil Zoom Super Fluke Jr- white 3" Senko- green pumpkin
  8. I have been using Gamma Panfish and really like it. I have used both the 4# and the 2#. The hi-vis yellow is nice because I can see it better!
  9. Thank you gentlemen for your help!
  10. Going to be fishing a lake that has pike in it. We have fished it several times over the last couple of years. Here's my question: If I catch a pike, are there others in the area that I should stop and fish for or are they more solitary and I should keep moving and try to locate similar areas?
  11. I have one of the Cashion panfish rods and love it.
  12. I have both of the Cashion rods and like them both. I use the 6'10 for neds, finesse jigs etc and use the 7' for small crankbaits and topwaters. Both have been a blast to fish with. I don't throw a lot of jerkbaits, but I would imagine the 7' rod would do well with them
  13. Cashion BFS rod with Shimano Scorpion reel with 4lb Sniper fluorocarbon. Great for bottom bouncing baits
  14. 16 years ago I read an article in Bassmaster about guys throwing lighter than usual baits with bait casters. I found a guy in Minnesota to build me a rod and asked him what reel to buy. The rod blank is burgundy so he recommended the Shimano Scorpion 1000 to me. Off to ebay I went and I have loved that reel since the day I got it. Had it cleaned (by DVT) for the first time ever a year ago and it still fishes as well as any reel I own. I got another BFS rod so I bought a new Scorpion for it. Hope it treats me as well as the OG

  16. Went down this rabbit hole a couple years ago. I have a couple of rods that I like. The TFO panfish rods have been fun to fish with. I have Pfleugger reels that I really like and have a Kastking ultralight reel of some sort that is good too. Keep it simple and you'll have a blast. I also have a ACC Crappie Sitx rod that is 8ft long that allows me to throw the little baits pretty far. You Tube has lots of great videos- Richard Gene is a wealth of info. Fish Anything and FloppinCrappie are good as well. There are also some very good forums dedicated to this type of fishing where you can glean some fantastic information.
