  1. I may not be 100% correct on this but I have been told that you get the best mileage at half throttle. I think it has more to do with the RPMS
  2. Thats a rough day!!!
  3. Use Blue Magic. You can find it at most truck stops.
  4. LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT POINT
  5. Nothing I hate more than a guy that says fishing is just luck!!!! It is all skill!! Everyone has an off day that doesn't mean they had bad luck!! I don't beleive in having luck charms!! I count on my skill. If I counted on luck I wouldn't be very smart. So to answer your question no I don't have a lucky fishing item. Off the soap box now thanks Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  6. Thanks for the post this should help us all feel pretty good about having a bad day! I feel for the young soldiers parents!!!
  7. LOL that's no joke Bassinjack!!!!!!!

  9. Squid, I know you like the Tritons but G3 makes a really nice 20' boat. I think max hp rating is 200.
  10. : A 2001 G3 HP190 I was narrowly outbid on this boat on ebay at the last second of course! High bid was $8895.00 it was a real nice boat, 19' long and had a Yamaha 150 Vmax on it. This boat new in 2001 cost $19,900.00 It sold for less than half price and was in almost new condition. Of course this was back in the first of December!! Look on ebay http://www.ebay.com I have seen a bunch of aluminum boats on sale. I am still waiting for another G3 HP180 or 190. If you are talking about a new boat you are dreaming!!! :'( Sorry but I haven't seen anything new near this price!! Most run about $17,000.00 -$22,000.00 new after you add all the bells and whistles!! But you can find a nice used one 3-5 years old under $11,000.00!! Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  11. Also check http://www.jannsnetcraft.com They carry many of the same products as stamina INC. Prices are about the same too.
  12. Fisher makes a nice 18' aluminum boat. Pro hawk they are real nice!! I looked at them at the boat show. I think the well in it is 27 gal. They have an 87" beam. Lots of room and laid out well. The sales man told me I could get one with 115 hp Mercury Optimax for $17,500.00 that price included everything including prep, tax, boat cover, spare tire, another Garmin finder for the bow, on board charger. Sweet boat at a sweet price!! If your lookin at aluminum boats look at this one. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  13. How many days a year do you guys bass fish??
  14. You might want to take out several of those cats, maybe down to one 20lb and a 10lb as far as the big ones go. Also consider taking out several of the small ones along with big Crappie and several small bass. Sounds like your pond is over populated and there isn't enough food to go around. 15. Just mix it up a little bit. Try a different bait, color, or size. I remeber a couple years ago I was in this situation me and the boat owner were pitching baby brush hogs in june bug color.. Only thing the fish would hit. Of course he was catching more fish than me had me by three keeps with an hour to go I added spike it dipn die to the tails of my bait. Had to have made a difference boated three keeps the last hour, he boated zero. A little change may actually be a huge improvement. Point is be willing to try something different. 16. I almost cried this morning when I found out!! They busted the glass out of the entry door on the garage. I am glad I had the insurance on my stuff. Only costs me $4.00 a month. It was money well spent. I have to go and pick my check up Monday I don't know if I am going to get the same set-ups or not. Wish I wouldn't have lost my stuff! My Grandfather bought me one of those reels last year for my birthday, only thing he has ever bought me. Wish I would have been more prepared for this type of thing. Gonna buy a steel entry door too, with a dead bolt, probably put steel bars on the window too. Don't want this to happen again, they might get the boat next time.
  17. :'( Someone broke into my garage last night they stole 8 of my best rod and reel combos. Team Daiwa reels with St. Croix rods. They also got two treestands. I'm lucky I had insurance on my stuff they said that they would have it replaced. Be carefull I had my rods laying on the front of my boat and not in the locker locked up. They got the combos but evidently couldn't get to my tackle locked in the storage. I am gonna get a lock-R-Bar now. Make sure you keep your stuff locked, or it could end up gone like mine. 18. That's a great idea wish I would have thought of it. Good for you. Always lookin for ways to save a buck. Thanks for the tip I'm gonna try it. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  19. Wear drab clothing "green, brown or tan" try to stay lower to the ground and try to keep noise to a minnimum. Use smaller lures unless you know the pond has big fish in it. Cast parallel to the bank. Make several casts to the same spots. It doesn't take long to cover the small body of water. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  20. 6" ribbiontail worm pumpkinseed color. 2/0 owner offset hook. Texas rigged with the sinker pegged. Fished moderatly slow. This thing will always catch fish. Even when they have a bad case of lock jaw. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  21. I always count when Pre fishing for a tournament, or the tournament itself. It gives me an idea of how aggressive the fish are. On average I cast between 500 - 650 cast in an eight hour tournament. I fish rather fast usually try to find a strike zone that is about 10 - 20' wide and fish only that. After I work that zone I burn the bait in and cast again. #1 thing I have found is the more you run around the lake the less casts you make which generally means less fish. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  22. I have used this technique several times it works!! One other thing I have done is about eight years ago I was catching a ton of fish with a 7" texas rigged worm in a shallow stump field. I was just fun fishing and the fish were very aggresive. I thought what the heck I am gonna throw a jig, something I rarely done at the time because I did not have confidence in it. I started catching fish on the jig and most of them were better fish than the ones I was catching on the worm I was hooked. Something you might try with techniques you aren't very familiar with make yourself try them when the fishing is very good and as long as you keep catching fish your confidence will grow very fast. Of course the two techniques I used were very similar. Probably won't help much in ten foot of water catching suspended bass with a crankbait then going the jig, two completly different baits and techniques stay away from that or your confidence will go down. 23. Always set the hook with just a little slack in the line. The hook will penetrate farther and you'll catch more fish. This method also keeps you from yanking the bait away from the fish. Tight Lines, Fatdaddy151
  24. I Just looked at the new Z's a couple days ago. I looked at the Z21 It was by far the finest laid out boat I have ever been in, everything was in exactly the place I thought it need to be in. The Rod locker was in the center which I really like!! That rod locker was so big Shaquille O'neal could have crawled in it and taken a nap. In my opinion that was the perfect boat!!! It was powered by a 250 hp Yamaha VMAX HPDI. I do not own a ranger or Trition so I am not biast. I know that If I could buy a boat that cost as much as one of these I would defenitly buy the Ranger!!!!!!!!!!!!!
