  4. All depends honeslty .. I have fished at 7-8 am in April and killed them and the bite shut off during the afternoon. Then also fished the afternoon and killed them and didn’t get much in the morning .. just fish all times of the day and figure them out. Depends maybe on wind , rain etc
  5. Sorry I had to laugh this .. insert (that’s what she said joke)
  6. Just took a ride by Lake Erie today, temp outside is 42 and rain so I figured I would check it out. Literally not even snow around the beach.. going to be an early spring !!

  9. Finally pulled the trigger, cabelas is having 10% off today and I used my redeem points so I got the minn Kota ultrex ! 52 inch !! Can’t wait to use it
  10. Yeah I’ll be fishing Lake Erie a lot Nd bigger water , none of the lakes I fish rarely get to low or skinny .. and in that case as you said I would just raise it up.. sounds like the 52 inch is better Lake Erie I’m going to be fishing a lot and mainly deeper lake stuff as the lakes I fish don’t have many coves etc
  11. Looks like either would be fine then honestly.
  12. So I decided to get a new trolling motor, going from a basic 400$ stock one to the Ultrex ! My question is I’m not sure which shaft to get.. the 45 inch or 52 .. i own a 17 ft Lund adventure series. The 1675 to be exact.. some help would be appreciated thank you.
  13. What exactly is the cable power steering ? I can probably afford 2500$ if it’s truly worth it
  14. Well if you had a choice between this trolling motor or a new fish finder , which would you go with
  15. Awesome man, sounds exactly what I’m looking for ! My current trolling motor is a basic one that came with the boat. How reliable is the spot lock? Does it truly keep you pretty positioned where you want
  16. Any experience with this ? How does it work
  17. Soo I decided to get a trolling motor with my tax return ! I’m looking to get the spot lock feature and then eventually have it sync up with a fish finder in the long run. Wondering what trolling motor would be best for this ? Price range is about 2000$.. not sure who makes a spot lock feature with that price point or how much thrust etc I would need. Any input would be nice, thank you.
  18. Do you think getting like the ulterra or uktrex with spot lock and stuff ?
  19. So my current fish finder is the basic one that came with the boat a lowrance hook 5.. I’m looking to upgrade to a better fish finder and can’t decide between a humminbird helix 7 with mega down and side imaging with chirp or a garmin echomap uhd 73sv .. what does everyone suggest and why?
  20. Soo cabelas is having A big sale With free installation also! Is this worth it ? My fish finder now is a basic hook 5 .. I think this would be a huge upgrade ?! Worth it with the 700$ off ?
  21. That’s smart idea thank you
  22. The flukes and shades are still good, fish them weightless and it’s killer, also the keitechs are amazing. I fish then on a open head jig , the 3 main sizes I use are 3.8 , 4.3 or a 4.8 and it hits all aspects I’m trying to cover. The colors I use are pretty basic a green pumpkin , black and blue and some type of sungill. Zakos are amazing on the back of a chatterbait also, they are bulkier and have great subtle action to match the vibration of a chatterbait.
