Where at in KS? What crankbaits are you selling?

I installed a clamp on onto the positive cable coming from the battery right at the plug on the bow. Do you mean the power cord that goes into the motor itself? I have nothing on that yet.

I'm going to be ordering a Legend Glass this afternoon actually. 7'4" MH. Should be really versatile. I think they make the Mojo glass in the same size.

Nice. All my biggest bass have been on a white spinnerbait. I was actually thinking the 5xd was one I'd definitely be getting.

I've done all this and I'm still getting noise when I run the motor: Common ground from starting battery to negative post on 24v battery Lowrance is wired directly to starting battery. Clamp on ferrite chokes on all wires. Transducer mounted on transom, with wire running down driver side, and tm power wires are running down passenger side. 2 things I haven't tried: using a standalone battery for the depth finder, and disconnecting the common ground and on board charger. Any suggestions?

I fish from a Sundolphin Pro 120 bass boat on the ponds, so I'm already out in the deep water. My setup will be something to the effect of an Antares DC in 5.6:1, with a 7'4" St Croix Legend Glass, using 15lb Seaguar Red Label. I also use VMC crankbait snaps. Been a crankbait guy my whole life, just never deep.

I bass fish primarily in farm ponds and detention dams in Kansas, and typically use shallow cranks, lipless, and spinnerbaits. With summer here, I want to try deep cranking, but it's a technique I've never done. Depth is usually 7 to 20 feet in the areas I'd do this at. Water is stained, but not muddy most of the time, but can be clear or muddy on occasion. What lures would you use, and what colors? There is perch, crawdads, gizzard shad, and baby bass for the natural forage.

I reel with my left hand for spinning and right for baitcast because it just feels the most natural. Can't explain why, it just does. Something that really helped me a lot considering this is I taught myself to cast left handed when using my baitcast. I am just as accurate in any situation with my left hand as I am my right hand. Being ambidextrous is very beneficial, especially when fishing out of a small boat, or shore fishing with trees all in your casting area.

I am kind of in the same boat. I have a 7 foot fast/heavy action St. Croix Legend Elite that is basically brand-new. I still debate back and forth on whether to keep it or not. Right now I am using it for underhand casting spinnerbaits around heavy timber. The power gets them out quick.

I hated doing it, but I bought a Hawg Tech 102mm carbon fiber handle. It's going on an Antares though, so the $81 handle is at least somewhat justified...I guess... You can put your own knobs on most handles. Most Shimano stuff is interchangeable, but I can't speak for the other brands.

Your rod guides will catch fire and your reel bearings will melt from the additional stress. ?

Baitcast =15 Spinning = 8 Seaguar Red Label. Don't need any of that fancy stuff, I've tried it. Red Label is limp, sensitive, invisible, and affordable. If you wanna splurge, nothing beats Tatsu, period.

I only own St Croix rods now, and I have had almost everything they offer. The Avid is extremely light, lifetime warranty, very sensitive, nice handle, and comes in a huge range of applications. To me, it is their best overall line. The Avid X are nice of course, but the biggest drawback for me, and why I got rid of mine was the micro guides. They actually seemed to slow down my lure more than help it. I think they need to put more guides to help this issue. Make it like a tunnel haha. I don't have that problem with the Avid, which is why I still have some of those. I had this exact setup years ago. They look great together. You'll be happy with the Avid.

2 brakes on, set tension to where the lure "almost" free falls, and magnetic drag set to 2.

5/8oz Xcalibur one knocker in chrome/black. Caught probably 10 different species of fish on them. They work year round, any conditions. Booyah is making these now, and I talked to a sales representative for them and he said they are making this color again, it just hasn't been released yet. It was discontinued for like 3 years and they are currently selling between 10 and 20 each on eBay. They're that good, trust me. To put it in perspective, I caught like 90 something bass up to 6 pounds within 6 hours on this lure last year. I retired that lure bc the paint was completely eaten off and it was still catching fish.
