  1. I would be I interested if you end up selling on here! Just saying... ?
  2. I have both the sx and the winch. Both are good reels. As far as the sx goes you can find it for $70 online, which is well worth the price.
  3. Saw your picture on this post and thought it looked really familiar. Then I realized I saw your post on Reddit! Nice review!
  4. If you don't like your lefty I'll trade you my right handed lews super duty 7.1 ratio for it. Only used it like 3 or 4 times.
  5. Yeah I'm leaning towards the SV, but was considering the curado 70 cause there is one for sale on the flea market for $135
  6. Thanks I'll look that up here in a bit!
  7. I'm looking to purchase a reel for finesse baits and light setups. I have mainly been a abu and lews guy until recently I've wanted to venture into other options. I have heard good things about both the tatula sv and the curado 70, but was wondering which would be the better all around reel. It seems Like there are a lot of Daiwa fans on here so I was hoping to get as many unbiased options as possible. Like I said I'll mainly be using for light finesse techniques, but I'm sure it will be pulling double duties at some point.
  8. If you are going to sell them I'm in the market for a 300. Just thought I'd throw that out there
  9. I have a Daiwa DX Swimbait rod in MH. It's rated for 1-6oz. I think the power is listed a little high because I wouldn't throw a 5-6oz lure on that rod. It is perfect for 1-4oz lures and is only $110 most places.
  10. Yes there is . The one I'm selling is a 6.8:1 though and OP is wanting is the 7.5:1. I have another MB that I do use and I like the reel a lot. It's a nice sized smooth reel for the price. Plus it has both mag and centrifugal brakes which is nice.
  11. Tackle warehouse has them on presale right now. Shows September 28 as when they will have them in stock.
  12. As most have said it's not impossible, but not practical. I throw a minimum of 50lb braid for moderate cover.
  13. Have you got to handle some of the Colts? How do they compare to the fury line?
  14. I don't have a silver max. What size braid are you using? If you are using braid with real thin diameter then that will cause digging. Braid is a lot thinner diameter than mono so I typically won't go below 30lb braid on my baitcasters.
  15. Dobyns fury $110. One of the best rods at the $100 price point imo.
  16. I learned on an abu orra sx with a bass pro rod (Not sure what the rod was). The orra is on sale on tacklewarehouse for $80. Ive heard that the black max combos are good starters, along with the lews laser combos.
  17. You're not kidding. Around Halloween and all winter long it's a mad house out here with all the quads and side-by-sides at the dunes. Our emts are out there for a lot of weekends and are constantly fixing people up.
  18. Hey everyone! I've been lurking around on this site for years and just now made an account. I've been bass fishing for years when I was living in Ohio. I had numerous ponds and lakes a short drive from where I lived. Unfortunately work drug me to the middle of the desert right on the border. While I don't mind it here it's a haul to get anywhere really worth fishing. I do a lot of canal fishing down here now since that's the only thing close by. With a 1 year old daughter and just me and my wife in the area, it makes it hard to find time to travel to find some good fishing. Love learning and trying new techniques and this is a great place to learn a lot. Figured it was time to stop just browsing old forums I have found and start getting involved in here!
