It is mine. I bought a tatula sv and forgot to put the promo code in. So naturally I had to buy another one for $105. Shows how smart I am. But still not bad. I was going to get one on TW for 15% off on Memorial day weekend. This was a much bearer price. Hope they are the real deal. I don't shop there often but you might want to check your local Wal Mart. They have some of their fishing section on clearance. I checked all of my local ones and they all have different products on sale for different prices. The best deals I've noticed so far have been some strike king plastics for $2. Spider wire FC 200yds for $2. and 6 inch Robo Worms for $3. I didn't even know Walmart carried rob worms. But like i said each store had different products on sale for different prices. Some better than others.

After reading this thread I bought a few from dsg. I don't ledge fish often. But I bet I can find places to use the 1/2 oz. It looked good and looks even better when you take it out of the package.

We had an Academy move close to me within the last few years. Last year they had huge deals after Christmas. Sometimes 50-60% off. And it was all good stuff too. Ive Checked a few times since Christmas and there have been little to no deals there. It seems pretty hard to predict.

Coming in a little late on this. But I have a pflueger patriarch bait caster that i got for a discounted cost. I think very highly of this reel. In fact I could have saved money on higher end reels and bought more of these little guys and been just as satisfied. I'm not really sure why they don't get the respect they deserve. Does anyone know how old the current lineup of pflueger bait casters are? Maybe something to do with it?

my local dsg has a clearance rack they just put together this week. The baits on the rack were discounted and buy 5 get 5 free. There were a lot of rapala sk and Gy baits. I bought 10 total crank baits (a few shad rap DT series and XD series) for right at $30 $3 a bait. The online seems a little slow right now. You might want to try your local dsg. The gut working there pulling lures off the racks said they were making room for new bait.

Does anyone else seem to have a missing lure in a lot of orders they place at dsg? Ive spent a lot of money at dsg this year. But if products keep getting left out I may have to look elsewhere.

I bought the STX and liked it so much I bought the Premier. Its about about preference of course. But, It seems like a lot of reels out there keep getting smaller and more compact. Gen 3 revos are an example of that. Which is fine unless you have big hands. The smaller the reel the more cramped my hands feel. And I didn't realize it until i picked up the new series. Both the gen 4 STX and Premier have large handles, knobs, and the reel in general. But like I said I have large hands so it might not be for everyone. The larger reel also seems to do better with casting distance. and drag. I foul hooked a 15+ lb Gar. The drag was the smoothest i've ever used. And turned that fish without harsh slips. It seems like the Gen 4 revos have little to no hype. Which is unfortunate because I give them an A grade on both.

DSG had a pretty good discount on them earlier in the summer. I think the 110s were around $15 or $16. Last time I checked they still had some megabass discounted on select colors. But it was more in the range of $4 off. The trick on DSG is you have to put them in the cart and and see the price there. They don't advertise the price. The discounted items say "see price in cart" or something along those lines.

Have you guys taken them out on the water yet? What do you think about them?

I see that the new Abu Garcia Revo series gen 4 reels and veritas rods were made available for purchase this week. Does anyone plan on buying these rods or reels in the near future? I have a couple gen 3 reels that are pretty nice. And after watching a few youtube videos I have some interest in these gen 4 Revos.

First Megabass lures i've ever owned. DSG had these discounted a few weeks ago. Largest amount I've ever spent on a bait order. Hope they live up to the hype.

I bought my first Shimano not too long ago. It is the older version Metanium. Academy had them on sale to make room for the new ones. I don't have any brand loyalty. I just buy what I think is the best value. In this case for the first time I went with Shimano.
