That's basically what I do. I only fill it up to about a half a tank because why weigh yourself down with a full tank if you don't need it?

Lund Renegade Bass Boat
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-FFMOUNTSACC.html?from=basres I don't really have something to compare against for fuel consumption. I've only owned one boat before this one and it was a lot smaller so its hard to compare.

Hydraulic steering is an add on, mine doesn't have it. I've heard tons of good things about the ultrex and wish I had put one on mine. I'd get the ultrex and then add another pole when you can, because two poles is also really nice. I just put my boat in the water for the first time since winter yesterday, so I got to try the poles out, and I love them. It was a really windy day and I actually used them a lot as drift paddles (I don't actually have the drift paddles) to slow my drift down the banks, it worked great! I am still trying to get the performance worked out, I think I am going to need to re-prop now that I've added some stuff to the boat along with the fact that I will be fishing with a partner 90% of the time, but I can tell you I got 52 mph in the fall with the boat relatively unloaded, and thats about the best I think you will see out of the 1875. The 1775 tops out around 44, according to *** and a few other articles I've read. However they also said the 1875 tops out at 49, and I've proven that wrong, so you never know! I am very happy with the boat. One of my major concerns was I went a little crazy and bought a ton of electronics and then realized there wasn't any room in the battery compartment to get a bigger cranking battery--at least the way I have mine set up--but I got the boat in the water yesterday for the first time since the fall and I fished for like 6 hours and didn't kill my battery. If you do go electronics crazy like I did, just make sure you are smart about it and put the stuff you aren't using in standby and use a low voltage alarm on your fish finders, that way If you do get low, you can run the outboard for a little bit for some more juice.

It wasn't a width issue it was a depth issue, there is some fiberglass behind the dash that they would of had to cut to fit it in there. The HDS must not be as big in the back as the helix. They do make mounts that work for the console that aren't flush that I've seen. I think the brand might be Precision Sonar. They stick out a little ways but look really good regardless.

Battery level meter ?
I have a question related to this, I hope the OP doesn't mind if I ask as I am not trying to thread jack just looking for similar information. I'd like to be able to monitor the status of my cranking battery as well. My humminbirds give me a readout like you mentioned @slonezp, around where do you think should I set my low battery alarm? Here's a LED gauge I'm not sure if you've seen @LoweStinger, 54 reviews on it that may help you find some of the info you are looking for. https://www.amazon.com/Aimilar-Battery-Indicator-Motorcycle-Marine/dp/B01E0U0JW4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522067965&sr=8-3&keywords=waterproof+led+battery+level+gauge

Yes I did everything other than put the m to s brackets on because they had to go behind the motor and I didn't really have any way to get the motor off that I trusted.

which jump starter?
Its a micro USB cord that plugs into the car charger it comes with, but the USB cord is removable so you can use it with a wall charger too.

which jump starter?
As you probably saw on that other thread I bought the gb40 from noco. Since then I have received it, and while I haven't used it yet, it seems like it's built well and its nice and small for what it is able to do. For me I'm not as worried about running my 24v trolling motor system out of charge as I am running my cranking battery down with my electronics. With the gb40 on board I'll have peace of mind that I will always be able to get my boat started and back to the ramp in time for weigh in.

Which Navionics Version Do You Suggest
So here's the scoop. I bought a lakemaster plus card for my humminbirds a couple weeks ago. I plugged it in yesterday to find out that is has only one of the lakes I'm scheduled to fish at this season. I talked to my old teammate and he told me he went with navionics because they have a lot more of our local lakes. I had always thought it was just a thing where lowrance guys like navionics and bird guys like lakemaster. So now I am sending back the lakemaster card and plan to buy a navionics card. Which version should I get? There are like 3 or 4 of them. Is hotmaps platinum worth it? Or should I just get one of the other versions?

Looking to buy first boat
I hear the heritage is officially sold out, they are done taking orders. It also wouldn't be something you would be able to get asap, because people are waiting months to get theirs. One person even mentioned his expected delivery date to be in December. That being said, you never know, you could find a used one for sale that someone decided they didn't want.

new to trolling motor questions
I run my prop through a ton of junk and its still fine. Being in Maine as well, I have never felt the need for any type of grass cutting blade on my fortrex.

new aluminum boat suggestions please
You should try the build a boat feature on all those websites so you can set it up exactly how you want it and see what the cost would be, then you can add or remove things to fit your price range. xpress unfortunately does not have that feature, but you could google "xpress xplorer xp 160 for sale" and boats.com will probably come up with some prices.

Check out the Lund Predator, they have a few different size and console options, however you would have to get a mercury or honda

Good value but if you can't find one for sale locally you are going to have to wait a looong time to get it.

What are the benefits of using braid with a fluoro leader?
Sounds like I will be putting braid on mine as well. Thanks guys

What are the benefits of using braid with a fluoro leader?
While deciding how I want to have my drop shot rig set up, I've read a lot of different articles on how certain pros rig theirs. A lot of people seem to use braid to a fluoro leader, 8lb test. My question is what are the benefits of doing that? I know you could use a lot heavier braid for you main line if you were worried about breaking fish off but wouldn't the possibility of breaking one off on the leader be just as good? Is it for better casting? Let me know. thanks!
